willie revillame: release me

Philippines

Willie Revillame was said to be frustrated due to his network's lack of action especially on his favor about his dispute over Jobert Sucaldito. OMG! What kind of a person are you? You have been babied by ABS-CBN from your very first suspension from MTRCB since your MTB days. For me he is an epitome of a person who don't have a "utang na loob". oooops!

Well I guess after being given a lot of chance to reform in the past he just became very arrogant already that he even is testing the network to obey him like he owns the network. I think that he just gone overboard. It may be true that you are bringing in money but that doesn't mean you have the power and control over the whole network's operations already. I think it is high time that the network allow him to go to honor his word on it. But I guess since the contract is not yet finished the network has the right to stop him from creating the same noontime show for the duration of the contract.

I think your prayers are answered. They accepted his request on the condition that he will honor not transfer or do any job that is similar to what he is doing at Wowowee. I guess it is just right that he should not be able to make similar shows in other channel because he is still under the contract terms until 2011. That is the contract he signed so he must respect that.

i'm still hoping the network will accept his resignation for him to learn a lesson...again and again.

Hello ersanmiguel, I believe Willy is just defending the station from criticisms, i agree that he's been quiet most of the time but of course, he just can't help vent out. well, willie does it because of work and not showing any gratitude doesn't mean he insulted the station, he challanged it but we know it was wrong and he knew the management will never fire jobert Sucaldito since he too is an asset of the network. It's the best thing that he did, all good things come to an end, but hey, he got a yacht and billions of pesos

Well, i do agree on that. i think it is because he feels he's brought too much money to the network - which is really contrary to what he is thinking! He's got to learn how to give respect to people and to think as well that he is not some sort of a God. He is famous, only for his show and if he is booted out of that show - he's going to be back to what he was before abs-sbn picked him up from the trash! he's got no shame at all and has not looked back at how hard his life was. he may think that he is now capable with his savings, but his splurge is just too much to even catch up with the expenses he has. I think that people like him now because they thought it was "his" money that he was giving away at the show! blah! he is not even considerate with the people he's worked with in the past and i believe most of them would even be relieved to be not working with him anymore... he's such a pain to work with, constantly in a bad mood, and sometimes would even shout at his staff because he is having a bad day! and what about the people who's been there earlier to set up the studio, and the very same people who has to stay for a while because they have to clean up after he has left... I think he knew too well that he's been having so much attitude problem himself and so.. he made the move earlier before ABS boots him out themselves!

his network admits that Wowowee is the window of abs-cbn to the world. maybe that's why he's a big head arrogant brat. he thinks his network will lose if he's gone.

Hi there Er San Miguel! You're right. I also think that he is ungrateful and that he surely is getting what he deserves for what he's been doing to the management with all his threats and his tantrum-throwing in national television. I think what he needs is to grow up and maybe by now, he's starting to learn the virtue of humility.

You're right! I don't understand why Willie is one of the highest paid celebrity in the Philippines. He is a kind of person who does not have good manners .. . .

What a brat! He's like the school bully who found someone who will stand up to him and then runs to the principal crying. Hello, in the first place you act like a spoiled brat, so why would the network protect you? Has he even contemplated what he was asking for? After making fun of his contestants, he dares use them as a shield.

i agree! i think he still have to be thankful to ABS-CBN for accepting him even though he had had many controversies and issues even before he was accepted.

Yes, I do think that ABS-CBN should let Willie go. But it's kind of a huge blow to the network considering that Kris Aquino will also give up SNN and the Buzz (if I am not mistaken). I read an article recently from INQ that though most people in the A, B class are rooting to kick out Willie, majority of the Filipinos in the lower class are heartbroken over him leaving the show. They see Willie as a source of hope and symbol of lunchtime happiness. Willie is probably regretting his actions about his outburst on Jobert. He should have kept his mouth shut.
