The cellphone. A modern invention made to benefit people by making communication more accessible, more mobile.
Such a wonderful gadget.
And a destructive one too.
How many lives have been destroyed because of cellphones?
Let me list down a few
affairs uncovered because of cellphones leading to break ups, divorces etc.
Collisions brought about by using cellphones while driving
The massive amount of leaked videos on the net because of videos
radiation exposure
cellphone snatchings
cellphone scams
there are a multitude of negative things brought about by cellphones
if only we'd be a little more responsible when dealing with this gadget
like:
your cellphone is your private property, all messages and communication from your cellphone is yours and yours alone to read
when driving, stop using it
things done in the bedroom are best kept only in our memories
in a public place, keep your cellphone in your pocket. it is not a status symbol.
messages on your cellphone that are suspicious usually are
sigh... let's just be a little more responsible with our cellphones

you are right, depending on how you use any gadget can be either useful or harmful.
Any technology or innovation has both positive aspect as well as negative aspects.
A self restrain in using mobile phone, as suggested by you will definitely benefit its owner.

Make a list of usefullthings and harmfull things and count the number. which is greater that is conclusion;
I think cell fones are 200% usefull and now it is our part of life. i can live without food from 2-3 days but without mobile i cant.....|ooooo|

This is a good discussion. It provides awareness and lesson that most of us try to over look. Humans are creative and are gifted with powerful imaginations and because of that even the simplest or harmless thing in this world can be very destructive. I agree that we should be very responsible in everything we own and be sensitive on our fellowmen. I hope everyone agrees to this because this is very true

You got a point on that, most of us doesn't care about the bad side of it. But come to think of it, all of this is because of our carelessness. We have to be responsible enough to use this gadget in right manner. It's more like of money, they say that money is the root of all evil but if we responsible enough to use this, it will help a lot and most of our problem will disappear. So just like money, use the gadget wisely and be a responsible user.

I think with every piece of technology it is in the hands of the people using it to be responsible. Anything good can, essentially be also used for evil in the wrong hands. It's not uncommon that something owned by the masses will undoubtedly cause trouble as well as helping people. Yes there are a lot of bad things about them, but there are also a number of amazing things about them as well.

but whats about 'How many lives have been rescued because of cellphones?'
what if you have an bad accident with your car and there wasnt a cellphone ? how would you call for help ? what would you do ? i think this would pretty be like your lost

I love my cell phone, and I love how I can communicate with people from just about anywhere, but I cannot stand the fact that it can become so addictive, and that is has gotten to the point where people are practically living their entire lives on their cell phone and Black Berries. I truly wish that people would stop and see how their cell phones are taking over their lives.

I agree cell phone has both side effects. but as far as I know using a cell phone can be a life saver in emergency situations. Having a cell phone means that you are accessible in case of an emergency even if you are out on the road but these days people are misusing it also. People have rejected land lines completely at times in favor of cell phones because of the good long distance minutes. While it’s true that a lot of teenagers talk too much.

Cellphones are very useful as well as harmful. The radiation that comes out of the cell phone while conversation is harmful to ears. Harmful radiations can effect heart function. Talking on cellphone while driving is again harmful. I have seen lot of people talking on cellphones while driving and met with accident.
We should be very careful while using cellphone.
