I just finished watching this anime series. I started around 6pm and ended around 12am. It was really fun and interesting. I just remembered that I used to do this not only for animes but also for other TV shows that I love. For example, during college, I went on a House MD marathon. I stuck myself in my dorm room and watched House the whole day! At the end of the series, I caught myself thinking like House, that is thinking more sarcastically than usual. lol. How about you? What shows have gone on a watching marathon? How long did it take you to finish it?

I love doing these. Usually I download complete seasons, then I watch them from end to end. Somehow I just can't stand waiting for one whole week for the next episode :) One of my all time favorites is twilight zone. There are a hundred or so episodes, you can't possibly run out. I also love star trek episodes, and I often marathon through seasons of Mad Men. It requires a special mindset before starting, so I have to psych myself up first :)

Hi jackryan! I also download complete seasons and watch them from start to finish. However, sometimes, I am also ok with waiting a week for episodes. Recently, I just wait for a month or so until I download all the episodes and watch them in one sitting. Since I have work, I tend to forget them and so am able to wait. hehe. I've always though the twilight zone was interesting. It's really long though so I am discouraged from downloading them, if there are available on the internet. I used to watch Star Trek when I was a little kid. But now that I'm older, I don't think I'd find it as amazing compared to all these new sci-fi series coming out.

I've done that from time to time, although not lately. With me it tends to be classic telefantasy series, like "Dr Who", "The Tomorrow People" (I'll often watch a whole serial of either in one sitting), "Blake's 7", "Survivors" or "The Prisoner". If you don't mind setting aside a whole day and going to bed late, you can just about watch all 17 episodes of "The Prisoner" in one sitting.

Hi Citizen_Stuart, are those american series? Hehe. I guess, I'm not familiar with them. It's good to have these marathons once in awhile. If you were to recommend me a series, which of those would you recommend?

Watching a House marathon is what got me into the show. I had never seen it until about two years ago USA had a marathon of the early episodes of the show. I've been a fan since. One marathon I usually catch, is when the Discovery Channel airs a marathon of Deadliest Catch. I almost never get tired of seeing that show.

Hi AmbiePam, actually, a House marathon was also the way I got hooked into the series. My friend made me watch the first season on DVD. After that, I've been looking forward to each episode. I've even shared it with my boyfriend and he's hooked as well. The Discovery Channel is always an interesting channel. When I get cable, I would definitely watch Discovery channel most of the time. I looked around on the net about Deadliest Catch. It seems interesting to watch. Hmm. It seems you are interested in dangerous jobs. Hehe. :)

Way back in high school, during vacations I used to watch korean dramas. Haha. But when I entered college, I can barely watch a single tv show because school really keeps me very busy.

Oh really? Hmm. I think korean dramas are really long so I haven't really watched any. Oh wait. I take that back. I watched 'Coffee Prince' and that's korean. Oh, I also watched 'Princess Hours'. Lol. Well, those are the only korean dramas I've watched wholly. These days, I'm watching some episodes of Queen Seondeok and I'm planning to buy a DVD series because I'm intersted with shows that are about ancient cultures. However, I'm still more interested in Japanese dramas or Jdoramas since they're shorter. Hehe.

Marathons have become more popular with the advent of DVD series sets. I have done, SEVERAL times, marathons on: Stargate SG-1 Stargate Atlantis Farscape Firefly Doctor Who (RTD/Moffett - don't have the older ones) Terminator 1, 2, and Sarah Connor Chronicles (I prefer that tiemline over the 3/4) Space Above and Beyond 24 Heroes Battlestar Galactica - Moore's new series - again don't have older ones Supernatural I did a V marathon before I wrote a fic and I've marathon-ed BBC's Merlin once. I'm currently planning a Eureka marathon.
