How Suspicious Are You?

Sometimes you have to go out on a limb. And so I did today. Came across a new site in pre-launch that, besides offering 100's of ways to earn cash, promised 25 cents in my Paypal tomorrow just for confirmation. It required I click a link, pay them 1 cent via Paypal to verify my address, and that was all. First thing I did was examine the link carefully to make sure that it was Paypal secure payment site and not a phishing address. After confirming that, I made sure that it was simply a one-time payment and not some sort of subscription. After realizing that everything was on the up-and-up, I paid the penny. I understand why they are doing it. 1) You can only have an email address attached to a confirmed Paypal account once. This makes sure that one person isn't signing up multiple times. 2) They offer to their advertisers, viewers who have a valid Paypal account and may be more willing to make a purchase. After paying the 1 cent, before I could make it back to my email, I had received a refund of the 1 cent I paid and I have been promised 25 cents tomorrow. They've made this promise to everyone who signs up during the month of May with their pre-launch campaign. I'll come back tomorrow and let you know how it turned out.

That sounds a little bit of a tease what you have said. Why not tell everyone the name of the site or give out a link for other myLot members to investigate for themselves. I am not having a go at you , but, you are keeping very quiet about what you have to do etc. Anyways, I hope it all works out great and you can spread the good news to all. HaVe FuN..

Didn't they say "Always leave them wanting more". :-) I don't post any links because it gets the discussions deleted. I also try to keep good things like this between me and my friends (do you want to be a friend). Unfortunately, something I forgot to mention is that the program is currently only open to U.S. residents. But if I find better things, I'll be happy to post them as well. P.S. I'm working on something really big but I can't post about it until I'm done or else people might think I'm crazy.

Certain things are best left un-said, is what they say. Sadly not being a US citizen I will have to decline the kind offer. Good luck with your new venture, if you dont try you will never know. Take care..

HADDOWZ - The way Muncierebel composed this discussion was very smart, because posting a link, especially a referral link, could get this discussion deleted as can certain other phrases. It is best to just talk about general details and leave the specifics to other means if a person is interested.

I think you will be happy with your decision on this. My team has done an in depth research on this and it appears to be legit. We have been in since the first part of May and are looking forward to it launching. In fact I have gotten some correspondence from them already earning.

I am very suspicious, so I doubt that I would have given them that kind of information, even if it looked like it was safe and legitimate. If I knew someone that I trusted and who was more adventurous or trusting than I am that had done it and the site was legitimate, then I might reconsider, but I would definitely not be the first one to try it.

I've definitely been in that boat many times as well. As I get older, I guess I'm just getting gutsier :-) I appreciate the compliment above. Just trying to play by the rules.

I am glad to hear that things worked out for you, and you have already received the twenty-five cents that the website promised. I hope that it continues to grow and expand, especially since you said that it is in the pre-launch stage at the moment.
