Will you have a day off in the Children's Day?

June 1st is the Children's Day here. It is a happy holiday for children. However, I don't have a day off in this festival. That means to say that I can't go to the park or something like that with my child in his holiday. Hopefully one day it will also allow the parents to have a day off work in the Children's Day. Otherwise it means nothing to the children when their parents have to work.

where is it celebrated? My youngest grandchild, Jacob, turns 1 yr old on June 1. I've got to get busy and figure out what I can get him for his birthday, and find out what the family plans are for the day too. Marsha

I think most children will like to go to the park.

You are right. It's good to let the children have the companion of their parents on the children day. But it's not too bad to have fun playing together with their friends. It's something the parents couldn't give them. I remembered during school time, we had been having a lot of fun on the children day. We were given a lot of snacks and were allowed to have free time and play games the whole day. It's like a heaven for all the kids.

Yes, the only day that we got the maximum freedom is on children's day. That's why all of us are very excited on that day, because we do need to attend class on that day. We can play games we like together like a big family. Days in the elementary school are memorable and full of fun.

Hello youless. I think that it is a good idea for those parents who have small children to have a day off with their children for the Children's Day, but it seems to be impossible to have it come true. By then I will be still working on campus without having a rest. I wish your son to enjoy this upcoming Children's Day. Good day to youless.

I heard that it seems Singapore will allow parents to have a day off so that they can have a good day with their children. What a nice thoughtful rule

hi youless this must be a Chinese holiday, sounds like a lovely idea too Children's day. its sad that you do not get the day off so you can enjoy it with your own child. we may have had one at some time but it seems to have got lost in the annuals of time. Yes it would be nice if employers would let you off for Children's day so you could all be together and have fun.

yes youless, as we had worked for them for the whole week. thinking that we are working for them, we almost forget to attend to their needs during weekdays. and so the weekends should be theirs.

good advice. as usual, on the children's day, a small party always be hoding in the school and teachers often take some students articles to share with others and then give award praise. so, if the children's parents would be take part in this party, it would be fine for both children and their parents.hopefully the day would be coming early. good luck and have a nice day!

You are quite right. If the parents can't show in the party, I can see that the children are disappointed.

We do not celebrate a Children's Day in the United States, that I know of. I can understand your thoughts, though, that children's day where you live is just the same as any other if the children have to be separated from their parents. I hope you have a good day anyway, and your son, as well.
