Where do you prefer to live?

Some people like to live in the calm nature surrounded from pure air, water, animals more than everything. Others prefer to have more comfort, facility and bigger chances for realization and making big money. So they choose the cities. And there are ones who live between the comfort and the nature, they are in the little towns. Where do you prefer to live? What's more important for you? To have the comfort or to live with the nature how it has been before? I chose the fresh air. :)

Hi. I am from India. And I don't know you have any idea of how India works or not. Its truly an incredible country. You don't know what will happen here at any moment. There might be strikes, public utility services might break up anything and you might have to go to your home on your own walking. So considering all these things I have chosen a place to stay which is near from the railway station, has no problems of water supply, where the market is near (you don't need to go a long way to buy your daily essentials). My house has drawbacks too, but considering the above facts, I am happy that I have chosen a right thing. Personally I would have loved to stay in an environment surrounded by nature, but that is not possible.

That's awful :X I'm imagining what is the picture of India. But I couldn't understand one thing, why do the railwaymen and the air port strike? You say th're well paid.

I really don't know, what is happening in India right now, I know only that there is water-supply problems. However, why do the public utility services might break up? What are the problems in your country? I'm curious. Say something if you want.

The main problem here is that public (I mean majority of people) get used to the environment. No one wants to get out of the rut or to teach the government a lesson. They will discuss the issues and then go home and spend time with their family watching TV. Everyday there is some problem, such as railwaymen strike or Air India (national air carrier of India) strike and then we all get stranded due to these people. And these are all well paid people, but still if their demand is not met by the authorities they immediately go on for strike and the main sufferer is the poor common man. The authorities have their own vehicles to travel. But the common man, he has to rely on public vehicles only.

Hello dsplay5, personally I prefer a place with cold weather (I hate the heat ^^), and although I would not mind to live surrounded by fresh air and nature, the city is definitely my thing, even with all the hustle that there is always. And if I could, I´ll like to live in a place like Tokio, but i´m really so far away from there. P.D. Sorry by my english, i´m not very good with my classes...

You're the first person here who says: "I want to live in the city". And I appreciate your choice, because the cities have a lot of advantages too. In Tokio is it cold, hot or moderately? Don't excuse for your english experience, here everyone is invited warmly with his/her abilities and no one will tell you anything... Don't worry, feel free and talk as you can. And good luck with the lessons. :) In addition, you can try this: http://www.whitesmoke.com/free-online-checker I use it nonstop to correct, and I recommend it ;)

Hi, I don´t believe that Tokio is very cold, only in winter, sometimes snows, but not too much, I like because is a big city (really big, has 38 million inhabitants or more ^^). I heard that even is difficult to walk the streets without bumping into anyone. Thanks for your support! And for the page you recommended me, I checked it, that really will help me, and now I will put more attention to my classes :P

Fresh air for me! Although I live in a small town right now, I much prefer the country. Being close to nature IS comfort to me. I am never relaxed in the city around so many people with so much going on all the time.

I agree with your psychology teacher. I don't get away from the city as often as I'd like. Of course "as often as I'd like" means every day.

Yes, everyone is running, hurrying. My psychology teacher told me: "The cities are the tumors of the Planet and the societies"... And so.. Do practice often going in the nature?

I like to live in the comfort of good nature with good access to the city. If possible, I would like to have my home built in the middle of the meadows, with fresh air and lots of trees. At the same time, I'd love if it's just minutes away from the my work and the city. LOL.

Oh yeah, I'm imagining your home in the middle of a meadow just like in the pictures, that's just beautiful... Ah I can't describe it :)

I like to live around nature with good access to the city, also. My fiance and I currently live where we are around nature, but can drive a mere thirty minutes to a really big city. It's nice and provides more job opportunities.

I prefer living in places with a lot of trees, rivers, clean air, animals. uhm... like in the forest maybe. I always feel like having a home far from the dirty, noisy, and polluted cities. It is in places like the forest where I can relax and have a good outlook on a lot of things.

Yeah, when you're away from the things which block up our brains when you're in a peaceful place and open your mind, you really see things that you haven't seen before, you compare, find out, it's just wonderful. What do you think about escaping for a week or a month in a such place?

For now I would prefer to live in the city since it would be an easy access for my job. But when I'll be in my retirement, I'll enjoy much of the fresh air from mother nature. I want to feel nature's serenity even in the last days of my life..

That's a great decision. Better later than never. However, if you have the chance to get some money right now, for example from the lottery you win 1 million dollars (you will not need to work anymore), would you go now to live in the nature?

Certainly, I would enjoy nature's beauty right away and even spend some money to preserve and beautify the place I'll live like having my own little garden.

Hi, dsplay5. I don't mind living in a nice neighborhood. I like for it to be calm and quiet. I like for the neighborhood to have beautiful houses. I want to be able to walk every morning when I get up. It can be in the city but just further down from the main city.

I was born and raised in the city. I prefer a fast phased life and to where all is accessible. Although I also do like a quiet and serene environment in the province. I still would like to combine both. If there is such a place here on earth, then that is what I fancy even if it is just temporary.

Yeah, interesting dream. However, in my country this is possible, because around the most big cities, there are little villages, and one of these villages is mine. It's just 10km to the city, and I think that's great. Should you go to the other edge of the World only to accomplish your dream?

I really do prefer to live in a city because that`s where the exciting comes.. I like to get involve in some shows like concerts & stuff. Yes, nature is not a bad thing but I find it greatest when I`m to the excitement of city life.

Hi dsplay I definitely choose a place which is lonely with lots of trees with pure air with out pollution, with all facilities and money that is sufficient for my family, but I can say one thing that we expect more from our life but it is not possible all times. So I think it is difficult to have such a house so in cities. Have a nice day.

Actually, that's the truth, we expect much more than it's possible, and we are able to do. Everyone wants everything to be ideally, but...

I prefer living in the city where everything is accessible but it won't hurt to unwind in the province once in a while for a few days or even a week, at the most. It's good to inhale and eat everything fresh in the countryside. I enjoy the peace it gives me after a well-rested vacation. You are fully-recharged once you are back in the city. Ready to take on life's challenges once again.

I prefer to live in a small town, were I can be with nature and have a silent and free from the pollution in the city, It is more important for me to have a comfortable life, near to nature, have a simple and happy life, and always feel the fresh air every morning.

I prefer to live in the country with as much open space and greenery around me as possible but it's not feasible at the moment due to work and travel time so we compromise and live in a small town, near fields, but close enough to drive to work in a short time :) I don't think I could ever be happy living in a city although I love to visit and don't mind working there, I like to have nature around me at home so I can relax more easily..

That's a solution somewhat to live in small town and to drive to work in a short time. My case is almost the same, I live in a village 10km near the city.

I still prefer to live in the city where I can reach all what I need. Though I want a city still with a touch of nature. Wherein I can still see green trees growing and not experience a very humid weather. I still prefer to live where I am living right now. We have a lot of industries growing, big malls, anything, I can just go out of the house and ride a cab and I have what I need but still i am enjoying the nature around me.

i prefer to live where it's relatively quiet and the air is fresh. but i also want to be able to drive not too far to be able to get to the business area. so i guess the suburbs is a good compromise.
