I will also go for the salary because right now what I need is a very good salary to finance my studies and it is really hard to live without a job nowadays, we have to sacrifice many things to be able to study. Anyways, next year I will finish, I will graduate so this is giving me a hope for a better future.

Hi siliguri undoubtedly your answer is going to be mine too as the type of job is more important .If I am not satisfied with my job then the salary portion is immaterial.Job satisfaction is of utmost importance. However nowadays we are seeing a growing trend where even engineers and doctors are applying for clerical job.Now do you think that they are doing this for job satisfaction?Of course not. They are interested in the salary portion of the job.So maybe the obvious answer to your question will be a suitable job that pays a handsome salary is the right option for me.

For you to win the employers confidence in you you have to give the job the first priority then the salary will come later on. If you go for salary then it means you are not interested in the job, you just want the money. Happy mylotting.

I prefer the type of job to salary as if the job gives us satisfaction we'll work hard. When we work hard we'll become efficient on our job.As we become more efficient we will be sought after.Ultimate result will be we enjoy our work which gives us satisfaction and we become more efficient leading to better pay.

if i apply for a job of course i already know what i am applying for besides you dont just go without knowing what will going to apply unless they will offer you another position, and i dont think hey will give me position that is not related to my course nor to what i applied for so i guess ill go for the salary.

like what homeshoppers said, i apply for a job in which i know is related to my knowledge and skills.. i apply for a job which i know i can definitely do... i wont really demand for a higher salary, but if there is a good offer, i would definitely go for it... i wont be a hypocrite and im not rich, i need a good source of income to earn me a living.. :)

I think I will choose the type of job. The type of job that I like means that I can develop and do the best. So the good salary will come to me later base on my job in there. I currently unemployed and looking for a job. I have find a great firm and the type of job is like what I want. So I choose the job base on what the type of job will I face. Keep post, Happy myLoting

It really depends. If the salary is ridiculously low, then, no, I can't like the job. But if I can make a decent amount doing something I enjoy, then why not?! If I had a job I really loved, I wouldn't care about being the wealthiest person on the planet..It's about happiness ultimately.

HI normally better job gets better salary. Higher the responsibility better the salary. So when interviewer ask we should always say i will go for better Job. Because I have not see any better job having salary worse then ordinary Job. Got confused? LOL I will go for job that will offer balance between work required, stress generated and salary offered.

we all know that our answers in interviews are not always true, we answer what the interviewer expects to hear, so when if i will be asked with that question, i will choose the job, but then at the back of my head will be the salary.

I would choose both. You must love what you do and at the same time somehow love/excel in your job as well. But if i would really choose I prefer the one with the better salary. Somehow after everything at least I have the money to enjoy :p

I said to my interviewer something like this: "Job and Salary both go hand in hand. Good job with poor salary will make me poor and good salary with poor job will make me loose my motivation and learnings" And I guess, she was quite impressed with my answer.
