Cats and Television

My daughters one cat does that and we laugh hysterically, to a point that we're almost crying. She has all kinds of pictures of Holly (cats name) doing this. She sits up about 3' away from the tv watching, just like a kid would. If there are animals on, you'll see her head going back and forth as the animals are running, and especially if it's birds. She's like in another world watching the tv, lol! It is soooo funny, so I do know what you mean! Oh yeh, and she'll do this for hours on end if the tv's on.

Its not very common in my household. Once and a while the cat will stair at the t.v. transfixed, but usually they don't care too much about the thing. Its normally existing for my partner's entertainment, and maybe mine once and a while. Otherwise we wouldn't have it.

I have not noticed my cats doing that. I have noticed when I'm actually trying to watch something that my big cat will climb on top of me and want to nuzzle.

I used to keep a cat that liked watching the telly. When she was young, she used to like watcthing football on TV and she'd often go up to the screen and try to catch the players! Eventually she realised that she couldn't get at whatever's on the screen, but one time later on in her life, there was a documentary about birds on - she forgot about the picture not being real and started stalking across the living room floor, obviously intent on getting the bird that was in close up. Halfway across the floor, she realised it wasn't real and gave up.

Hi, That is very true.Our pets follow us.They learn many things from us.I don't have cat but a puppy.It also is habitual for the same.It thinks that watching a tv is a regular part of life and i should follow the tradition.By the every thing is funny and gives us fun.

Hi jahernandezrivas No we don't have a cat but we do have a poodle and he loved to watch lady and the tramp and when the dogs in the movie OW so does Sunny. It's so funny. he all-so likes to watch other movies as well. Snow
