i don't really know what it was called. i remember when i was maybe about 6 or 7, i loved going to the office with my dad. because i get to play in his computer. back then, the only games were slide puzzles, solitaire and the oldest version of prince of persia. i thought it was so cool back then. :)

Yes I use to play prince of persia too in an IBM 486 in those school days... We use the computers to learn MS-DOS o_O and some programming in the school, we play a few games when the teacher was not looking including the old prince of persia under DOS, what memories of the old school days when the computers without windows (only MS-DOS) were the only kind in the classrooms... Regards...

The computer I recall the most is when we got the Apple llc http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_IIc when I in fourth or fifth grade. It was sooo cool because the school would let us borrow them for a weekend to take home. I know we had an older style of apple computer but I don't know what version it was. Everyone wanted to use the cool white llc's. Just a boring old compaq that dh had added onto and upgraded. I also get to use a netbook too, wich is great for chill'n outside on the patio.

Mine was 486DX100. It was not a branded. I still remember the specs. 486 proc with 100MHz clock, a 3.5" floppy, windows 3.11, 2MB VGA, 8MB EDORAM, 512MB HDD, 4x CDROM. It was quite expensive by that time.

I don't remember. What I do remember is the OS is still DOS. And I remember using a software named Lotus. Also a game for typing called phoenix something. Yep technology is so advanced now compared before. I'm now using Windows 7 for my OS.

I have my first computer when I was a pupil. I didn't have enough knowledge of computers, I didn't know what CPU is. But I remember that it has a 3.5" floppy disk drive, a spherical CRT monitor, a 324MB harddisk, with main OS MS-DOS. I can type win to get in Windows 3.1 to play mine sweeping... Now i have a wonderful computer with 160GB harddisk, a big LCD monitor, with Win XP OS.
