Ok, so the other day, to carry on with my bad week, that has brought me nothing but bad luck my washing machine decided to break on me... so we had to go and buy a new one, and quickly because I have a family and therefore am always washing.... I am sure there are a few others out there that agree with me, but the point is, when the delivery men turned up with my new washing machine, I got so excited... it was almost like a christmas pressie.... I mean how ridiculous does that sound??? I mean when I was younger I used to have the same excitement when my parents bought me pressie's for special occasions, but really a washing machine???? what is wrong with me, it is not a toy, but I just love it, all the features that it has, that my old one didnt have... ok I am just gonna shut up now because I am sounding really wierd I know! lol... Can anyone make me feel better and tell me if you have felt the same with a new appliance you have bought? Please tell me it is not just me lol

Hi, Rosie. No, getting is a new washing machine is not a lame reason to be happy and excited. When I bought my laptop, I could hardly take my hands off it. I was smiling from ear to ear, saying over and over, "Yay, I have a new laptop! I have a new laptop!" Certainly, my laptop is not top of the line. It's only a cheap one, but I just loved having it (I still do). Having a reason to be excited is always a blessing no matter how weird that reason may seem. (smile)

lol... yeah it was joy with getting a new washing machine, but it definatly has been a bad week, and has cost a lot of money this week... examples... i have had car problems, bank problems, washing machine problems, and relationship hassles.... I am hoping though that this week is going to be so much better. Well here is hoping anyway

Ho Rosie, No it is not lame, I got just like this last month when I had a new undercounter freezer delivered, it was the perfect fit for a gap under the counter and meant the old chest one could go out leaving me space for the kitchen table and chairs and yep I was like a kid with a new toy. Huggles. Ellie :D

If it makes you feel better I'd be happy when I got anything new... I mean somewhere it's a change in your life, and maybe from that point it all gets better, or just that you get your washing machine back, removes a lot of trouble you might endure in a further occasion. Imagine your house caught fire. And suddenly the finances got you a new one (wouldn't happen, but still). I think you'd be happy as well, don't you suppose?

Yes I think you are right, with everything you say, I find it uplifting to have something new.. and had my washing machine been repairable i think I would have been in love with it all over again, because of the hassle of being without it.
