Habit of keeping coins you found

Hello mylotters, I always take the coins I found but I make sure that I dropped it to charity boxes/cans anytime.
I heard that some people take the coins because they feel it makes them lucky or it gives them some good luck while some people won't take the coins since it will bring bad luck to you. The coins was already been lost by the owner who was supposed to be unlucky the day it was lost so in turn the bad luck will be transferred to you.
Do you have the habit of taking the coins you found and keep it for yourself? or you just ignore the coins, don't take it? if you keep it for yourself what do you do with the coins?

I think it would make you a lucky person to have found and gained a coin you did not have. If its one cent, well eventually amounts to something. I just deposited 12.50 in one cent coins, I found or saved. So yes it makes you lucky to have them, since we are in the habit of giving them away or throwing them out.

I would only ever pick up small coins when I was younger, because I thought that the person wouldn't really realise. I also picked them up for good luck, but only if it was heads up! If it is tails up then it is meant to bring bad luck. x3 I havn't really seen any coins lying around now, people must be being more careful with their money :)

For me i really appreciate of what you doing keep up the good work because i don't keeping the coins i lend it immediately to the store to buy some thing.

Me..? Sometimes I keep some coins that I have found.. but most of times, I just ignore it..
If I found it outside our home, i don't take it..'cause I feel shy of getting it.
but if I found it inside my home, sometimes I keep it..but most of the time, I just ignore it..thinking of that coins will be our lucky charm in our home ^_^

I don't really have the habit of picking up coins in public. Unless of course I'm in the situation wherein the coin us just beside me and I don't need to stoop over to get it. The coins that I do get I don't really keep as a souvenir, it just goes to my coin purse ready to be dispensed when needed.
Though I have kept one which was special for me because an old man told me to pick it up for luck! hehehe.. I still have it now, I know it's the one because I tied a ribbon around it (it has a hole in the middle).

i don't know it's a habit but i usually pick coins even its only a cent in the street or in public transpo., ofcourse i ask first if somebody owns it, and then i place it in a small plastic piggy bank and every end of the year i always empty my piggy bank and give it to foundations that take cares of street children..

I used to keep coins i found but know not so much. I often did what you do too and put them in charity boxes. After all, the coins probably weren't lost, more like thrown away by the owner because they don't like carrying around lose change or something like that

I did that before. I get to keep all the pennies I find in the road while I am walking. I have a lot of them already. At that time I was picking them out, I considered it a lucky charm for me that's why I keep them. No matter how small the amount is, I always pick them up but I dont do that anymore these days.

For the last 4-5 years, I never got a dropped coin. But I have got in the past. Many cases, I used to give it to some beggars. Because, in my childhood my parents taught me like that. So, without thinking of any thing, I just keep it with me and whenever I see some beggar, I used to give to them or if I could find the person, I will return (but it happens very rarely only).
Even I heard of its good luck and bad luck history. But, I never considered of a luck related to it.

I usually put it in my pocket and then give it to those begging in the streets. If I don't find any beggars then I just keep it for myself.

I don't really believe in that lucky coin thing..haha anyways I don't really pick coins in the public unless I dropped it.. but at home I really pick them then put it in my piggy bank haha it's almost full now cause my mom's back and she keeps dropping her coins from her pocket..haha

It is jusr not my habit but my niece always do so. He can't even see a single coin and let it just like that but he will keep and take every coins he found.if i found him doing so I will asked him to donate it to some charity boxes but never keep it and use it for his own benefit because it's still not belongs to you right?
