Hi, Primarily it happens due to insufficient or damaged RAM. But depending on the behavior there may be other reasons like damaged system files or processor overheat. First, try to start your PC with your RAM changed. If it still restarts then restore your operating system. If the problem still remains then repair or reinstall your operating system. If that doesn't help too then its probably due to processor overheat. In that case check the fan, heat sink and thermal paste. Make sure that the processor is in contact with the sink and whether the fan is working properly. Thanks God bless you

Don't worry about the important files on your computer, just choose to overrite the C disk when reinstall, then the other disks like D,E,F will not be deleted.Just make sure you have not put important files on the disk C.If there are, remove them to other disks.

I have already changed my memory with the new one. But my pc restart automatically. If I reinstall my operating system, how about my important files in my hard disk? I need those files in my hard disk if it will be deleted during reinstalling of operating system.

In that case Reinstall your operating system but choose 'Keep the file system Intact' and don't choose format. A new Windows will overwrite your existing windows. Then you boot your operating system and back up all your files and then reinstall windows again, this time choosing to format your C drive.

There are many reasons of this question.Below are the common reasons: 1.Your computer are virsused. Please clean away, you can use 360safe,AVG,or kaspersky to clean the viruses. 2.Some system files are damaged. Please overwrite install or reinstall again. 3.The timing software or the similar software fuctions. You can clear them away. 4.Hardware problems or overheat.Take it to the maintenance station to get help.

when troubleshooting i like to take on the very basics first: to check your software integrity, do a virus scan (if you can't even load to normal boot up) then try safemode i assume your operating system is windows xp (press f8 then select safemood)if somemood wont suffice observe what part the restart triggers does it shows the logo xp before restarting or it does not display anything at all and keeps on restarting. if the former you may have a corrupt os, try using the repair feature of the cd or if you don't have important files reformat it.if the latter, it is a sign of hardware failure. and bad psu (power supply) overheating processor (bad fan), or a memory.

Reinstalling windows is the last thing you should do if: 1. Run windows in safe mod before load OS, by pressing F8 after beep when restart 2. Scan your PC with best antivirus you have in this safe mod (The most advanced scan, which your antivirus software support) 3. When your antivirus has done, restart your PC and run it as usual. Problem must be solved. If still persists, then you must reinstall windows. If this doesn't help you, then It is something on your hardware.

The last time I gad that happen with my computer, it was because the fan on the CPU had too much dust, and the computer was overheating. That's actually a really common problem that makes the computer restart all of a sudden. I recommend taking it into a shop, a bunch of the smaller places will do inspection for around $20 (big places like Futureshop usually charge more) then they'll tell you exactly what the problem is, and how much it'll cost to fix it. Last time I had a problem like that, it ended up costing about $60, altogether.

and here I thought I wouldn't have to make a second response, which has seemed to be really popular on this post. The overheating was the 2nd to last time it was restarting, the $60 one was replacement of a battery that had burned out. Dusting is cheaper.

Maybe you've got some tojans and virus in your computer. If you are using WinXP, scandisk can cause this problem too, I met this problem when it scanned C:. Or hardware problem? If you don't know what the problem exactly is, rebuilt your operating system, if the problem is still happen, it ought to be hardware caused. If possible, you'd better describe your problem more detailed. When did the problem happen? Before enter Windows or after? Is there a blue screen before restarting?

Hi friend Remove your os installed hard drive and connect it to another system.Try to boot that system from your drive. If same problem continues, the problem is in your os only.Use your xp cd to recover your os to previous state. if same problem doesnt occur,it must be hardware problem. Most probably smps may be fault.

Try to recover it will not delete all files. It will just your os to previous state or date that you can mention while recovering.May be some file in os installed drive may be deleted. If u want that so,install os in different partition
