Advice for an alcoholic

I have a friend who's very alcoholic he loves to drink all night long because he said that's his best way to win friends and that's the reason also why we became friends because I join him everytime he wants to drink. What should I do? Do I need to stop and not see him or I was wondering if he will take my advice to stop it?

I really don't know. I'm sure he won't listen to anyone. That's an addiction and only he can stop it by deciding that it's enough. Or maybe send him to rehab.

He won't stop until he wants to. It took high blood pressure and approaching liver problems to get me to stop.
Is he making you uncomfortable somehow? Are you obligated to "join him every time?" Are there other things you would rather be doing? What kind of options are there?
