So many people have misconceptions about Masonry that it's a cult or that it is somewhat linked to the Illuminati And movies like the ones based on Dan Brown's novels and National Treasure have even given it more mystique or sinister appeal My Dad is a FreeMason and most of the people I know from when I was a kid are Masons so i never really felt that it was cloaked in such intrigues it's a brotherhood, an organization and while the world mulls over who or what they are, they're busy handing out medicines and free goods to those in need what's your idea about Masonry?

I have been to a Free Mason meeting once, and can I say it was the most boring meeting that I have ever been too. Seriously, I don't know what all the hype is about Free Masons.

I thought Masonry was working with stones... I have heard of the Free Masons, I knew they were a large charitable organization. They started as Castle Builders way back when, they held the secret of the center stone or something. Please feel free to tell me more.

hi chipesterkhan my grand father was a mason and he loved it as all they did were good things to help other people and the mason became close to each other and helped sick masons their families.there was nothing cult like or mean about the masons. In my home town Masons were really respected people. I am in the USA and was raised in South Dakota on a farm. going to Masonic lodge was what a lot of farmers did, and these were great people and kind people. no cults thats so stupid.
