How old does my chuhuaha have to be to begin breeding

I have two little wawa's as i call them a boy and a girl, my girl is about 8 months old, how long before they breed? And no im not selling them, im giving them away to people who have wanted one for a long time but cannot afford to pay out tons of money to buy one. Plus i want a few more!1

One thing to remember with Chi dogs, is they have to undergo surgery to have there babies, so you may not want to breed. They are so tiny down there they can not give birth the natural way, so if you breed her, you will have to take her to the vet for her to have the puppies, its really expensive to. Otherwise your dog will die while in labor.

Any dog, female should never be bred until after their second heat. Males 2years

Smaller dogs usually hit puberty between 6 and 12 months but it varies by size and so on. There's a lot of info about how to tell when a female is ready and what to expect here: http://www.answers.com/topic/canine-reproduction I'd also suggest talking with your vet

i have always heard that they shouldn't breed the first time they go into heat, you have to wait until at least the second. after that, i think they are old enough.
