Hi labea! Moonchild and santosmarichris are right. Use Unionbank. I'm using Unionbank Eon debit card. The application is very easy. Go to the nearest Unionbank branch. Bring 2 valid ID's, 2 or 3 copies of EACH ID, birth certificate and photocopy of birth certificate, and P350. Now, this P350 is just an annual fee. Meaning you're just going to pay once. It's an annual fee, meaning yearly. If you reside in manila/quezon city, it will just take 1 week. After one week, you can pick up your card. But if you are outside Manila/QC, it will take up to 2 weeks. Just call them up to make sure if your card is ready before going to the branch so you can save yourself from hassles. When you're going to pick up your card, bring at least P150 or P200 to deposit. You need to deposit because you will need that in verifying your paypal. The card is in your hands now. The next thing you need to do, is to register your card in unionbank's eon cyber account (unionbankph.com). After registering, you can now go to paypal and add your card. After adding your card, you will receive an expuse code. You will receive that expuse code in your Unionbank cyber account. It may take just a few minutes to receive it. And then enter that expuse code in paypal. That's it. Done. You're paypal account is now verified.

Hi Sophiaraine! Thank you for the information. I will go to Unionbank on monday to apply for an EON card. I have applied for a paypal account, but I haven't verified yet because I haven't applied yet for a card. Will I be able to receive money in my paypal account then?

Even without verifying your Paypal account, you can still receive money in your account. You just can't withdraw your earnings if you haven't verified it yet. That's my case, I have some earnings in my Paypal account but I haven't verified my account with an EON card, so I can't withdraw them.

You won't be able to receive payments until your paypal is verified. By the way, when you link your card to your paypal, you will be charged more or less P95 ($1.99). That's why I advised you to deposit 150 or 200 in your card. But don't worry, the fee will reflect on your paypal account. After verifying it, that P95 that was deducted will show up on your paypal account.

According to what I've read earlier, You can verify your paypal with any type of debit card (mastercard or visa). BUT you cannot withdraw your money from paypal to your card if your debit card is mastercard. You can only withdraw your money to your card if your debit card is visa. But if your debit card is mastercard but it is not local (like payoneer), then you can withdraw your money to it. So meaning, local debit mastercards can be used to verify your paypal, but you cannot use it to withdraw your paypal money. Is BDO debit card a mastercard or visa? Smart Money is BDO right? And smart money is a mastercard. And Smart card cannot be used to withdraw your paypal money. Has anyone ever tried to withdraw their paypal money to BDO debit card? Well, that's what I learned earlier. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I've heard many people say that Unionbank is the bank to use when you have a Paypal. They have what they call the EON Card which you can connect to your Paypal account as a debit card. They say it's the most ideal card to have when you've got Paypal. I think with other cards, they have additional charges when you withdraw your Paypal earnings, but with the EON Card, there is none. I'm not sure about the last bit, though. You can confirm that with Unionbank, I guess.

Actually, you can apply for a Paypal account as early as now. You just need the EON card to verify your Paypal account. Once you've verified your Paypal using your EON card, you can withdraw your Paypal earnings. You can check out the Paypal website or other forums on account verification. Also ask Unionbank on how the EON card works with Paypal. I don't have my EON card yet. I'm still going to apply one of these days, when I'm not too busy.

So the first thing that I should do is apply for an EOn account in Unionbank, right? What should I do after? I'm really clueless about it.

Hi, I use bdo as the bank i withdraw funds to from paypal. takes about 3 days to reflect in your account, not including weekends and holidays. also there's a 2oo php charge for every transaction you do. i guess it depends how you use your paypal. if your going to receive money from abroad-best is to use xoom. lower transaction fees than paypal and only takes a couple of hours to complete the transaction to your desired bank account-iknow xoo.com is a partner of BDO. Hope this helps

Unionbank CyberE-ON Account. No need for initial deposit, but you have to pay, I think Php 350 for the annual service charge.
