A beautiful tiebreak

In a major surprise, Francesca Schiavone has become the women's French Open champion. I thought she played a fantastic match in the final versus Samantha Stosur. Francesca really used all the variety of her game and in particular her skills at net to win. The tiebreak, though, was really out of this world. I believe Schiavone won 7-2 and it seemed like she couldn't miss -- it was beautiful, beautiful tennis! I'm sure Stosur will have other opportunities if she can stay healthy as she's got a game that's perfect for the women's tour, but it's great that Schiavone was able to win one major with her creative and varied game. I'm sure Nadal and Soderling are going to have a terrific match tomorrow so this has turned into a great French Open!
