common sense, is the first step, remember that this so called emails claiming you've have won something pops suddenly, you must remember that for you to win something you should have joined something. If you haven't join any contest for raffle then there is no way who could win. To good to be true offers are often scams, and do a little search before indulging to such claims, a simple googling of the nature or the email or title subject would render you pretty much result in the net.

I feel the only way to avoid or overcome cyber crimes is to be extremely careful of everything you do and access via the internet. The source of something like the email you mention can be untracable so trying to fight that one particular source maybe near to impossible. You need to be extremely careful of emails you open and respond to, what sites you enter any personal information into, ect. Basically common sense is the best bet on an individual level. I am sure if you come across something there is some where you can report it to, but like I mentioned above it could be almost impossible for anything to be done about it.

hi bharatreddy welcome to mylot you are indeed new. What you must do to avoid cybercrimes is to look at these emails telling you or anyone else you have won a huge amount of money.check and see if the person;'s name is on the email usually they do not send it to a name but to recipient instead a nd this is the first clue that this is a horrid scam and you should delete it at once,do not answer it as you will be then told you must sent a certain good sized amount of money in order to receive the money you supposedly had won.once they get the money they are gone and you receive nothing but have lost hard earned money.so do not ever respond to these emails as they are all scams.for one thing if you never entered a sweepstakes you could not win anything and too a legitmate earnings would be addressed to you by your real name not recipient or whatever their term is.so if the email is too good to be true,it is false for sure.anytime anyone really wins something they are usually phoned and asked for by name and it is a legitmate thing but these emails are vicious scams to defraud you of your money. so just delete them always.

internet users must educate themselves to be able to identify stuff like this.. we can't afford to be too naive anymore and just say 'i don't know' when something happens.. prevention is always the best, and education allows us to prevent unwanted things like this..
