I consider myself as an addict to facebook because I'm online most of the time. I think that facebook has become an addiction because whenever my friends, siblings, cousins or my family members use the computer, they will always log in to facebook first. As for my case, my school requires the students to use laptops thus I am always on facebook eventhough I did not do anything much in facebook. It's like a must to at least log in to it everyday. Lessen the addiction? Why not take up other hobbies or sports. There are lots of other things that you can do such as reading books, do house chores, play sports.

thnks for your ideas ummu90 but i too considered those alternatives like reading, outdoor hobbies, etc but couldn't do them. reading i don't like and about outdoor activities, in the intense heat in the day, you can't think of playing. anyways thnks for advice. i need some adventurous alternatives. please suggest some which are creative or which drive me away from facebook.

I am still an addict, but I was more of an addict when I first signed up with Facebook about a year and a half ago or so. I got into the gift requests and SuperPoke Pets . . . but now I pretty much use it exclusively for communicating with everyone. I don't have hours at a time on the computer, but certainly the time that I get I can totally use it all up on Facebook - ha ha. How to lessen the addiction? Get a life - if you have other things to do, it will distract you from wanting to go on Facebook. My myLot addiction steered me away Facebook a bit - ha ha!!

For me I not getting addict to it well because I think I don't earn money from it and for you to lessen your addiction try to do something else like sports or focus your self in something thst you might get some earnings you should try to realize if your not befitting with the time you spend in facebook then it is not worth giving too much attention. When I was new in face also didn't give it too much interest well I guess because I am a online gamer even now that they have online rpg game in facebook I still don't get addict to it. I think all you need is to focus in something that may benefit your time like here in mylot or other online earnings.

yup, your thought is also great but i am still a college student. i usually go there for fun not for promoting anything, yet i have promoted my writing skills there. i was talking about the addiction as in younger, school going or collegiate people, who spent there maximum time on facebook. that is actually a waste of time, yet we do.
