How do you spend time with your family as your bonding moment?

As a mother i make it a point that me and my family have time for our bonding moment everyday by simply doing it like watching television while eating snacks then talking once in a while and having a joke to each other. Or even in front of our meals we always have our conversation. The bonding moment in the family is the most important thing we must do to make us get closer, so we must have a regular free time for our family especially for our children.

Having a regular bonding moments with our family is very important. Not just because it's one of the key to have a stable relationship to each other, but it's also a great way to discipline your child in a way that they would listen to you comfortably. I always make sure that even once or twice a week, we must go outside, go to mall, eat with the kid's favorite restaurant, or even have a picnic in the park. It's really nice to do this especially when the kids are still young, and it became a part of our routine.

yah you're right! we must enjoy their life while they are young. Sooner they will grow and we will miss those days. So give them all the best you can, the happiness that only the parents can give to their children it is the most cherished bonding moments that our children bring in their memories as they grow older.

I completely agree that parents and children should have bonding moments. When I was young, some Saturdays my mom would pick up brunch and take me to a park by the river where we ate then played on the playground. Sometimes they would have craft fairs close by which we would go and browse around. Even now those are some of my favorite moments with my mom. Watching television and talking about it together is also a great bonding moment. It always seems like something on the tv can spark a good conversation/debate/insight. I wish more families were interested in creating moments together. My cousin and his family rarely spend time together. He's always flying off because of business. His wife is at work all day long and when she returns home she is so stressed out that she just wants to keep the kids busy and out of the way. Their two kids spend more time with their grandparents who pick them up after school, feed them and talk to them about things going on in their life.

Thanks for the nice comment. I am afraid of what might happen to your cousin if their parents don't have time for them. I guess someone who is concern to them must talk to the mother of the two children while the problem still don't exist yet.

at my childhood times, my family will have a barbecue with my mother's friend's family .it was a so happy time and every holiday no matter it's a big or a simple memorial day,my family will take me and my little sister go out having a picnic. as time goes,my family members went abroad and the happy times became a wonderful memories forever If i have a family myself ,i will do share this happiness with my families and i'm sure i will spend more times with my family.

Bonding moment with our family is very important and I take it regularly. I spent time playing with my only son (4 years old). Every Sunday we go to church, having lunch at the restaurant and go to grocery store together.

in my family we make sure we eat meals together. we talk a lot during meals. another bonding activity we do is we go out of town to roadtrips. we do that every year. going to a different place and experiencing these places together somehow bonds us.

This gets harder as my kids get older. They dont always want to be with their mom. My kids are 16 and 18 years of age. I usually plan quick getaways where they have to be with me, shopping days (one kid at a time so we can talk to each other without interruptions) dinner out with both or one at a time. I find myself watching MTV shows with them as well as cartoons and reality shows. You do what you have to do to stay in tune with them.

We usually go to the mall or have lunch/dinner outside. However, I don`t join them too often because we can`t leave my grandma alone, except if my aunt stays for 2 days. Or we can watch TV together, especially for the World Cup moments...it is nice to watch soccer together, especially, we have an 11 year-old boy who keeps asking ( my nephew). He is so cute and funny, well, sometimes annoying too:)

Sunday during lunch time is our bonding moment with our family. I think that's what we do in both sides of the family since I already have in-laws. There are also time when we celebrate birthdays that we get to bond with each other. With my family in my hometown, we bond with each other when we go home there and we always eat together as a family and my mom would prepare something good.
