I was watching a tv show yesterday and noticed that a women was getting her son's nails painted light green. Do you think it is okay for a women to get her son's nails painted.Even if it may send that child the wrong message.Share your thoughts.

I don't know what that so called wrong message might be. it's just a bit of fun. if he enjoys it, why not. it's just a bit of nail varnish. children like to experiment with expressing themselves through their appearence. if it's something he wanted, then getting his nails painted green for him is rather cute.

By wrong message i meant his identity since painting nails is mostly associated with females.

playing with nail varnish won't make him more feminine though. painting nails is for females and for males with a good sense of looking cool.

No I dont think that's right at all. Its totally encouraging that little boy to act feminine which could lead to being confused about his sexuality when he is older. If anything it is actually a form of abuse.
