Cooking is a favorite hobby of mine. The time you spend cooking, preparing ingredients, the smell of spices or the food itself, and the texture of the ingredients against your palm as you hold them invokes a kind of happiness that comes with cooking. Cooking can make you happy and others happy as well. The thing I love most is when other people eat your dish, letting them enjoy the fruits of your hardwork. Cooking is never and will never be a selfish act. But as a young woman, I'm beginning to explore the joys of cooking. But I want to cook new dishes as well. Can anyone give an easy dish for a family dinner? As the youngest in the family, I prepare the meals. =)

My easy dish is BBQ Pork. I take out my crockpot and put in a boneless pork loin. I add about an inch of water and let it cook on low all day while I am at work. When I get home I drain off most of the water and add a bottle of bbq sauce and shred it with a fork, mixing it well. I let it simmer another half hour and then serve on fresh rolls, with a side of fries and cole slaw. My family loves it and it is super simple to make.

Thanks! I'll try that when I can. Though I'm not so keen on keeping the stove on all day (fire hazard?). But I love bbq!

www.allrecipies.com is a nice site as you can put in the items you have and it will pull up recipies for what you want to use. There are many easy things one can make like spaghetti, taco's, baked chicken w/ veggies, soup... it depends on what your household likes and what you ahve on hand.

Cooking is a creative art and evokes all of our senses. It is also a way to nurture others, so I find it particularly enjoyable as well. I also get much satisfaction when others enjoy what I prepare for them. That is my reward for hard work. There are many dishes that are easy to prepare, and that lesson the hard work of cleanup. These would include casserole dishes, pasta dishes, soups, and salads. Many of these can be based on canned soups or gravies. You can add meat, poultry, fish or other protein sources like cheese, plus veggies and have a complete meal.

An easy meal to prepare in minutes is, lazy lasagna. If you have ever heard of Lasagna it should be quite easy. What you do is get all the ingredients and instead of the long noodles get get shells or rigatoni. No Exclude the spinach, but mix the rest in a big bowl. This includes the noodles, sauce, meat, and cheese. I do not remember the exact bake time, but you can just put it in the oven and check on it every now and again. :)

Well quick fixes are my favorites. Sorry I can't post recipes here but can share the joy of cooking. I am also the youngest and cooking is my interest and passion too. I try all new dishes shown on cookery shows. I just love to serve my family and friends good food.
