Are you PRO or AGAINST InterRacial Marriage?

I'm plainly curious about what other people think about Inter Racial Marriages. I have seen people in my country who have been marrying foreign people. Do you think it's okay? Is it a good thing? How about the culture and language differences? How do they take it?

I am totally pro interracial marriage. There is nothing wrong with it. As long as the couple are happy, there shouldn't be any problems as to the colour or creed of the couple. At least, that is how I see it. I see nothing wrong with it. Although I do understand that the cultural difference might prove to be very troublesome sometimes and it might step on somebody's foot in the process (lets just say if the couple's family were against it).

I believe that in every thing in this world there would always be advantages and disadvantages as well. And that is right, there should not be any problems with inter-racial marriages as long as they are happy. And if they truly love each other, they ill surely overcome every trials that may come their way.

I have never had a problem with it, people are people. For that matter, most Americans (can't speak for others) aren't just one race anyway! So really every marriage is inter-racial!

So true. Nobody can't stop it and it shouldn't be a problem. Infact, it can even help us in understanding other countries' cultures.

Well who cares?racist will be the only one to dislike this. For me, it is just okay to have an Inter Racial marriages, there is nothing wrong with it. If the two persons really love each other, no one can stop them even the race they've come from. What matter is they understand and love each other.

You're right. Love conquers all and it includes accepting the nationality of someone you truly love.

to me this is one of those matters that falls under who cares... there are more imporant things to worry about then who marries who. to me my cousin was married to a black dude, he was so cool. he treated my cousin very good. and i have a neice who is married to a black dude who is cool as well. takes care of her and the kids. so who cares..

You have a very good point there, syankee. If you decided to marry a person who is not from your home-country, it's out of others' business. And I truly admire those who are in this kind of relationship and have had the best kind of relationship ever.

why should i be against it? i personally think that race should NEVER be an issue when it comes to loving a person. i am so thankful that i was able to go out of my country and experience the life in other lands. i became aware of the realities of the world. inter-racial marriages happen everywhere. it's beautiful how 2 people from different mother lands with totally differnt cultures and beliefs to be together. the beauty there is how they can compromise and enjoy each others life. ;-)

You're right. What a beautiful perspective you have. If anybody was thinking the same way, there will be less discrimination in the world.

hi invisible, In my opinion,it's okay. There's nothing wrong with interracial marriage.I have lots of friends & relatives who got married to a foreigner, some are happy some are not.It really depends on how both the person handle the relationship & their marriage.Love is anywhere isn't it? I don't think so there will be a problem with culture, just learn to respect & love the culture of your partner & he or she would also do the same. With the language,I guess if one person knows English then I believe so there won't b any problems at all.

That is so true. That when you love someone, that means you are willing to accept everything about him/her including your language and culture differences. And for as long as true love is residing in your hearts, there shouldn't be any problem with this.

I'm for it. As a matter of fact all dark people should hook up with white people and make babies, so that we get rid of all the different races, and then there will be no other races to hate.

I think you're right. One of the major problems the world is facing is discrimination. Perhaps inter-racial marriages is one of the keys in avoiding this.

Well, I see no reason for being against such thing. Race/nationality isn't important at all in my opinion. All people, black or white are all equal and no-one is better than other.

Correct! We are all humans, for that matter :)

There's nothing wrong with it. They are both humans and they bear beautiful children... There's no difference at all, they may deal with cultural diff and language, but they can work it out in the long run..

Perhaps it takes time. But what's not? Every relationship takes time to develop. It really depends on the couple how to handle their relationship.

I have no problems with inter-racial marriages. I think it can be a great thing. They say love has no boundaries and I think that is true. When two people fall in love, it doesn't matter who they are (gender, age, race, location, etc.) as long as they have that chemistry together.

That is so true! Oh and hey! I just fell in love with what you've said - how I wish I would fall for someone who will love me as well despite our differences.

I see nothing wrong about interracial marriage. For as long as the love to each other is there and both parties respect the culture and belief of their respective country.

Hmm...interracial marriages aren't bad, but sometimes there are conflicts between different races, or culture. Other than that I haven't seen any real problem with them. Maybe if the couple accept each as they are, it wouldn't matter, but then again, they also have to think about their family. If their parents don't agree to it, it may be a bit difficult to marry each other happily without future problems to worry about.

You are right... Couples should also be considering the disadvantages of getting married with a person from other race.
