As far as I am concerned I think it has medicinal values and it gives good taste if used while cooking, but I don't like garlic smell. What about you mylotters? Do you like its flavor and taste?

I like the smell of it when it is cooking. I don't like the smell of it on someone else's breath or if it comes out in their body odor, then it is just plain nasty. I do love the flavor of garlic it can taste so good. I have read that it has medicinal qualities but I have also heard that some of what has been said about its medicinal qualities is not completly true. I mainly just eat it because it tastes good.

Hi ladym It happens with most of them they don't know how good are its medicinal values for the health but they like it because of its flavor and taste. Even I didn't know about its medicinal values but I came to know later.

i love garlic specially toasted garlic. it is also beneficial. garlic helps lower blood pressure and it has antibiotics. but be careful cause everything in much is bad. eating too much of garlic is not good for the stomach.

I like garlic and I am sure it has positive effects on people's health. I can't say I dislike the smell of garlic, I like both smell and taste. The only bad thing about garlic is that bad breath that can last for a very long time, especially if you won't brush your teeth. Chewing gum is useless in this case.

Hi Biomechanoid You are absolutely right the bad breath won't go until you brush your teeth and that is the only disadvantage it has otherwise it is very good for health.

Hi KMaroon, yes I like eating garlic and love the flavour it gives to food dishes. living out here in Thailand garlic and chili are the 2 main ingredients in most of heir cooking. If they are not added into the cooking small dishes are available and you add them raw to your food. The interesting thing is the raw garlic that we add and eat are very small cloves and have taste but don't leave a smell on the breathe. Garlic I have been told by many doctors is a natural way of cleansing and purifying the blood and since I have been eating raw garlic and chili the mosquitoes leave me well alone. Maybe, they don't like the taste or smell, hehehe!

I do love garlic, I put it in a lot of dishes when I cook, and I often order dishes with garlic in them in restaurants too. I eat garlic on a regular basis and I am rarely sick, so I do thing it is good for you too. The only thing that can bother me sometimes is the smell of your breath after you eat it, but I think it is a small price to pay for something so yummy!

Hi puccagirl Almost every one who use garlic regularly they use it in almost all the dishes they cook, because people who taste garlic once they get addicted to it and they cannot eat any food with out garlic, and the smell definitely bothers me too and you are right it is really a small price to pay for something so yummy.
