Do you remember the date and day or will you depend on the calender to check daily. Because, I came across several people who do not remember. If we ask them the date or the day they quickly twist the wrist and check the wrist watch to inform us. How about you.... please share your thoughts.

I am not very good at remembering what the date is on each particular day but if you ask me what the date is next Monday (or any other day) then I can tell you that quite quickly. I remember which day the first day of each month falls on and then work it out from there, remembering that if, for example, the first day is a Wednesday, then the 6thm 15th, 22nd and 29th will all be Wednesdays too. I often wake up thinking it's one day and it's often a day ahead of the correct day and until I speak wth someone I don't realise that I have 'lost' a day of my life

LOL! I do that all the time, too. I think that it is one day when really it is another. Sometimes I have lost a day somewhere, and sometimes I have gained one, so I guess that it all evens out in the end. Either way, I can always say for sure that it is today!

But today will become yesterday tomorrow so will not always be today

Oh, but you are wrong there, because today is always today, which might be yesterday tomorrow. However, right now it is still always today.

I do have a hard time remembering the date and even the day of the week, especially when things are very hectic and busy. This is even worse when things that usually happen on a certain day of the week, such as shopping, get pushed back a day or done a day early to accommodate other things that are happening, because then the schedule is all messed up. If I check my watch, though, it won't be much help as all it will tell me is the time, and not even whether it is AM or PM, although I can usually figure that out myself - lol! I have an old-fashioned watch that actually has hands instead of a digital display. Therefore, I usually check my cellphone to tell what the date and day is when I can't remember.

We have digital ones as alarm clocks in the house, but they do not have the date on them. I much prefer the "old-fashioned" watches to the digital ones, and I will be very upset if anything happens to my current watch. As sad as this is going to sound, though, I do know some people that need to have digital watches to be able to tell time, because they don't know how to tell time on the clocks with hands.

Not remembering time and date indicates one is very busy and is not able to concentrate on those. But,remembering them is of great use which plans our schedules easily. No matter what ever type of watch we have,it is always advantageous to remember these. This can be excused for elderly people - because of their weak memory power.

Nice I like that - because checking every day makes you alert and also plan your schedules easily. Thanks for the reply.

Rightly said it is truly a unique thought. I myself do not remember the day and the date and that is really a pleasure coz I do not have to worry if it is the 1st day or the last day of the week. Do not need to remember the dates as I do not have to pay the bills. So lucky isn't it?

No - I don't think you are lucky, because these are the basic things we have to at least remember which is good for you and also help others. How are you managing your transactions without giving importance to dates and days. In your case hope you do not remember your birthday also. I doubt. You gave this response just to answer it or.....what..

Hello, busybee10! I can't remember what's the date. For me, only two days, holiday and workday. And I'll remember what to do today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow... The exact date number isn't important to me at all. Only when someone ask me or fill in some tables require the date, I'll check my watch or cell phone or computer.

i don't have the habit of trying to remember the day and the date of days but one thing i always do for sure is, when i woke up in the morning, first thing i do is to check what date and what day it was. then i usually will remember it all day, and if anyone happens to ask me then i can just tell them straight away. but if they ask me what date is for another day, then i usually come up with "not sure" as a first answer...:-)

I like your habit of checking the date and day early in the morning. And,this will be conformable to even communicate if any one needs with full confidence. You very well know today's day and date so why cannot you answer if they ask tomorrow's date just add one and inform.

I usually don't remember the date and day if someone asks me. I am one of those guys who would check my watch or cellphone if someone asks me the date or day.

Ok - this type of problem exists in many of them,I just wonder it is because of lack of interest or weak memory. I am in confusion.
