I have been seeing the FOOTBALL WC while watching the match one thing which hassle me a lot the harsh decision of referee they didn’t take the time to show the yellow card of red card to the player without thinking a single minute whose player has a fault there they makes their ruthless decision. I think FIFA Federation should look after on this issue and should implement certain criteria for the referee also. What you think friends do you amenable with me or you think there is a need of such strict decision Make your point what you think over this..?

The football mustn't be so rude, so the referees make good with these cards. They cancel the players to do so many fouls and if they don't stop, they become a red card (like Klose). Really this World Cup are good instructed by FIFA.

Referees do a difficult job. In my country, it's not unusual for a ref to be chased around by the players, and even thrown with rocks and bottles by the spectators. And in this highest level of the game, they were responsible to keep the games as clean as possible. Football itself can be even harsher with some nasty injuries to the players. The most horrible case last season was Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey who broke his leg after a late tackle by Ryan Shawcross. His injury were so serious that he had to rest for a year or two...

It depends on which referee is handling the matches. Usually the referees from England, Germany, Italy allow for some hard tackling and like to keep the ebb of the game flowing. On the other South American referees and Spanish referees prefer to see a cleaner game with lesser amount of tackling and hence we see more stoppages and more free kicks. So I guess it depends from where the referees come from. Cheers! Ram

as the name suggest i am one of the hated breed of refs so i will answer your question honestly, when the tackle is made refs are obliged to restart the game as soon as possible and as refs we know exactly what decision is going to be made ie yellow red card so it makes no sense to wait for an extra few seconds to make the same decision.also the players themselves know what card to expect they are not as daft as some think they know what is the result of a challenge.we also have a responsibility for the safety of the other players so in getting the card out fast the other players can see its being dealt with and this can help to avoid further confrontation to the incident.we may at times let play continue if the advantage is good and when the play stops issue the card then but the vast majority of the time it is more appropriate to get the card out of the way to avoid confrontation later in the move that led to the offence. hope that clears it up a bit if not i can add a lot more if you wish. cheers

well..the referee does have to be very strict at times. there are countless situations where the players are too rough and they must be reminded that harsh moves and blatant hard fouls are not allowed.. the referee needs to be in control by being strict..
