I am a Mozilla user, so I use NoScript, it blocks everything, and if you wanna check something you just need to disable that specific thing, it's quite useful. Also you can add exceptions of sites you trust. Like I hate having viruses on my PC (I formated my pc so many times because of that), I think more is better, so I added up the AVG toolbar to mozilla also. It marks sites as green or red. And before you entering in a "red on" it asks you if you are sure about continuing. It informs you that can damage your Pc. Now, I have no viruses for months, which makes me happy. Formatting is a pain!

That AVG toolbar was so annoying I had to disable it. It warns me even for the site that are safe but host some stuff that isn't exactly 100% legal

Well, I prefer being safe rather then having a lot of viruses in my PC, my toolbar don't give me much trouble anyway.

There are so many, it's really best to get good anti-viral software. I got an infection from this place - they worm their way in from other people's pages, and sometimes the person doesn't even know they're infecting you. Unless you've got antiviral software like Panda (my fave - cheap and good) you'll never be safe.
