well messi takes the ball to the post but he shoots and misses and never scored a goal in this season and that triple goal guy took full advantage. what if messi had not been in that match he would not have scored a single goal. messi is the best. because of messi in two matches i think they had the chance of scoring 41 goals considering the number of goals in target. i just hope next match he gets the right target to score a goal so that golden boot deserve for the right player and not for intermediate player.

Well every day isn't a lucky day for you. That day was just made for Higuain. When we talk about messi, there is never much debate about his skills and potentials.Depositing the ball in the goal post is surely the ultimate thing to do but again it ain't the only thing.Messi created chances and world watched that along with coach and all other high officials. So it is surely not that big deal.So far he is the best player for Argentina and everybody knows it.Tevez is also a great player and he looks to be in a great form.So in that case when a low profile player scores, his confidence certainly takes a height. Moreover, this kind of match inspires other under rated players to perform well.I'm myself is a great fan of Argentina and i want them to get a respectale position in this world cup.

Actually I expect Maradona to ring in the changes for the next match to give his bench some game time. But I would think Messi will get some time in the park and I am not really worried about his scoring the goals as long as he is creating them. And yes Higuain was very lucky to score the hat trick as all the three goals were presented to him on a plate by his team mates. Cheers! Ram

Hi sarath, I think it is hard for Messi to copy his Barcelona goals maniac while wearing Argentine jersey. The way Barcelona and Argentina play are different and even though Messi still play up front for Argentina, he seems to lost his killer instinct. He is more suitable for the provider rule. He can create chances for his team mates just like Carlos Tevez did.

Messi hasn`t scored yet, but he played important role in creating goals for Higuain, who played well against South Korea. I hope Milito will be played too by Maradona, and I hope Argentina will win this World Cup.

They are probably playing the best football so far in the tournament but there is a long way to go and a lot of the previous winners have started slowly and got better as the tournament has gone on.
