I like soda but I am more of a water drinker. Especially now that I am pregnant, I try to drink as much water as I can -- minimum of ten glasses per day, actually. I have not totally cut off on soda though, I give in to my craving whenever I cannot help it and when water seems not enough. Cheers!

Hello bigrod. I drink more water than soda. I think that water is more healthy to us rather than soda though sometimes I drink it also. When I work in the office, I always try to drink as much as I can.

Before, I really avoid sodas because I was diagnosed to have urinary tract infection due to increased intake of soda as well as lesser intake of water. I just drink a sip or two a week. But now, especially for last summer, I can't help but drink a lot of soda and juice. I think it's because it quenches thirst temporarily. It quenches your thirst at the moment but later on, you'll feel more thirsty. So, it's really better to drink lots and lots of water than drinking more soda as it replenishes all lost fluids in your body.

I prefer drinking a lot of water if it is a summer time..I drink almost 5 liters regularly.. Drinking water during the hot summers is really good.It helps one to fight against dehydration and also helps you a lot in beating heat... I avoid soda water,I don't really like its taste but I like lemonade.. Apart from it I am fond of fruit juices specially that of grapes, pineapple, watermelon and mango.

Of course I do drink more water than soda. It is because the water is less expensive than soda, and soda is dangerous to ones health if taken frequently. Water is just natural and cannot endanger our health

I drink more water than Soda, sometimes I have soda during summer when I am out in the sales field. Water is the best and I like water very much. I drink 4 glasses of water early morning and after 2 hours of breakfast I drink a couple of glasses. this goes on for whole day. I drink about 12-15 glasses... Good for your Skin

Hi, bigrod. I like more water than I do with soda. Water is so much more healthier to drink. It is very refreshing and it has great nutrients in it too. I prefer to drink more water than I do with soda. Soda is not always so healthy to drink.

I grew up in a different country. When I'm thirsty, I would think of drinking water to quench my thirst. In the US, there seems to be a big consumption on soda: Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew and etc. You would see that on TV. "I'm thirsty, could u get me a coke?" (Not a glass of water). This makes me curious about Europe and other countries as well. To me, soda is a kind of drink I'd like to have when I'm eating pizza or something in a restaurant. Lots of people in US would grab a Coke when they are thirsty or have it when they have dinner or any meals. Sodas are not expensive, but it adds up to your expenses.

Depending on situation. If it is a hot day, I will go for water. If I am having my meal, I will go with soda. If I am at home and in front of the tv/laptop, it will be beverage like coffee or tea. If I just done my sports, then it will be isotonic drinks.

It depends on how it's mixed. I've had it plenty of times from the tap where the ratio of syrup to the "water" was too light and you can't taste the syrup, but I've also had it the opposite, with too much syrup (which you can taste) and not enough of the water. Yuck! If I really had to choose, I'd pick the can or bottle over the tap any day, unless the tap is perfectly mixed, which, 9 times out of 10, it's not. I think there's nothing more quenching than opening up an ice cold can of soda. It just tastes refreshing.

In the last three years I have not had a single regular soda. I do drink diet soda occasionally, but mostly I prefer water. I had a taste of regular soda for the first time a few days ago and can't believe how sugary it tasted. I do not remember it ever being like that.
