Hello myLoters i want to share with you todays my experience. Today i was sleeping alone in my bed (my wife was out on a trip with hers job) and than i opened my eyes.... On my bed our pet cat was staring at me (with black eyes) almost touching my face with its nose. I jumped :). And after few secons i understood that it was only my cat. I was scared because i was still sleepy and didnt know what balck thing was staring at me... :P Have you ever been scared by a pet ?

I haven't been scared like that but one night our cat, Jim, had climbed onto the wardrobe which was only about 4 foot away from the bed and the way he used to jump down when he was ready was to launch himself onto the bed for a soft landing.. Well, luckily I woke started to come around when I hear rustling, just in time to see him launch himself off the wardrobe but before I could wake my hubby, the cat landed right on the middle of his chest - boy did he get a fright (hubby and Jim the cat actually). Course I was not flavour of the month because I was laughing hysterically at the sight of my hubby sitting bolt upright shouting in fright and Jim the cat yowling back after the shock of landing on hubby instead of the nice soft bed..

Hello debsgw, Well that cool that your cat launches from thw wardrobe on the bed. I really would not want to experience what hubby experienced :)

Funniest thing I saw recently was a wildlife program about chameleons. They've got these amazingly long tongues that fly out, then recoil with a juicy morsel. One little chap overstepped his mark, bagging a mantis that was almost as big as he was. As his tongue sprang back he got it full in the mouth - TWANNG - knocking him off his perch! Hilarious.

heh heh that must have been funny to see.. I have a terrible sense of humour for funny things like that - sometimes when other people don't think it's so funny. I remember one time visiting my dad and the cat next door used to jump in their window to visit too but that particular day the cat didn't realise that the window was not open, it was just sparkling clean and so very transparent, well poor thing jumped and just kind of slid down the glass looking a bit dazed, now normally i am really concerned for animal welfare but the sight of that just about did me and my dad in (Fortunately the cat was fine and tried again successfully as soon as he opened the window for him)

Ah nope, not yet, it is i who is always surprising (not really scaring) my pet cat. For example, he is sitting or lying quietly, or even sleeping, and he is not aware that im around, and i touch him with my pointer finger,so he turns to me, and suddenly blurts out 'meow' apparently surprised, with eyes wide open hehe.

Hi, Luwiego. Oh goodness! I would have been very scared if I was you too! Just to wake up and see a cat staring at me, would creep me out! I wonder what your cat was thinking as it was staring at you??? To wake up to something like this would scare the crap out of me too!

I just hope that it was only good thoughts and nothing else. I am glad that you are okay. And I am also glad that you did not have any scratches on you at all.

Yeah my cat is always doing things that startles me, lol unintentionally of course my cat often jumps up on the bed suddenly while I'm sleeping and it wakes me up and sometimes my cat runs across the bed playing and wakes me up suddenly and frightens me, I guess thats just how animals are they dont understand that we get frightened and tired too I think most cats are that way.

Aww, I think that's so cute. Sometimes when I wake up, I'll notice my cat staring at me or when I've just woken up she'll get closer to my face and start sniffing me. But My cat has never been that close to me/on top of me while I was sleeping. I don't think so anyway! Maybe she was trying to smell you, I think cats like to sniff around a lot.

Yikes, that is scary. I have always had cats and I have a houseful now but I've never been scared like that before. The times when I'm most scared is when one or more is playing hide and seek with me where they hide, I seek but I can't find the cat. ( They're very good at this game ). It may be that something scared your cat before he came to your bed. Anyway, I hope that both of you are O.K.

Hi, Luwiego That was funny but I do not blame you for being scared. It sounded creepy. We do not allow pets in bedrooms too so I do not think that that would ever happen to me. However, I know cats can do something creepy too. When I was still a student, I was renting a small apartment. One night, my neighbors cat was crying outside. I jumped up in alarm because it really sounded like a woman howling. It took me a while to realize that it was just a cat. Cheers!

I haven't been scared like, but one night our cat, Jim, climbed the almirah is only about four feet, he used to jump out of the bed, he was out on his bed soft landing. Ok, but luckily I woke up, I began to see, can prompt rustle of his chest and I can wake me up in the husband, cat landed in the middle of his chest, boy, he just jump (husband and Jim cat really). Of course I didn't taste of the month because I laughing hysterically at my husband sit straight out of fear and Jim cat yowling back after the shock of the husband is not good soft landing on the bed.
