Do you think only medical professionals should learn CPR?

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - CPR - CPR or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is an emergency procedure for people in cardiac arrest or in some circumstances, respiratory arrest. It is performed both in hospitals and in pre-hospital settings. It involves physical interventions to create artificial circulation through rhythmic pressing on the patient's chest to manually pump blood through the heart, called chest compressions and usually also involves the recuer exhaling into the patient to ventilate the lungs and pass oxygen in to the blood, called artificial respiration.

No. It may be necessary in their profession and that's a fact, but I do believe that other profession should as well need to learn CPR or even ordinary person, or uneducated individuals. They may not have experience training on that course but as well a little background about it could somehow save a life. It always feels good to save a life who would not feel good about it? So above all we should at least have some background about cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR. Because life is so amazing at the same time unpredictable. Emergencies could happen anywhere, everywhere and it might be that your present or witnessed life threatening situations. Have you witnessed emergencies or helped them? What were your reactions?

i dont think so as even kids can do cpr and first aid if they know what to do, and its advisable that at least one of every household member know first aid and cpr in case of emergency. and its been told for many times already, i guess you should contact red cross in your area as they conducted training, some have pay while others dont have, in out country we have the option to undergo training in red cross and during summer they have a free training to all ages unless they are too young to handle the victim. doing cpr is not just easy but you must have training to do it and after training they will give you an identification card as a proof that your a trained first aider in case someone need your help while in public and if they ask who you are then you can show them the ID and tell them your a trained first aider.

learning CPR should not only limited to those in the medical field but also to those person who are willing to be train and help other people.but in our case medical personnel knows more or let just say they encounter this trauma in the hospital and CPR needs to be learn by heart because it is life of the people is at stake here and its critical cases.
