Task Rejected - Mysterious Changing Word Count

I've done a few tasks in the past, but not a writing one. Yesterday I did one to write a review of a movie between 4 an 5 paragraphs long and between 500 - 700 words. They gave a link to a place to check your word count which is what I used to check my word count. I wrote 5 paragraphs and according to that site it was 502 words. Today I got a message saying it was rejected because it was not long enough and that I should read the rules before submitting a task. Well, that just made me mad. I DID read the rules and my submission WAS long enough according to verification at the place they GAVE to verify word count. Well, I re-entered it today and the same site says its only 410 words! I'm confused as to why the same place would give a different word count to the exact same block of text!

I got one today pretty much the same. It was an article about car loans. I did it pretty well and respecting the conditions, but that guy told me it was not enough. I think there are a bunch of losers looking for some work done with out paying anyone. I'm done with mylot tasks. No one is to supervise if there is any abuse from these so called "employers".

I stick with the Sharon Bucks tasks, I have had no problems with them at all, I submitted my last one last night and this morning the money was in my account.

Not to be Devil's advocate, but why don't you just use the word count on Microsoft word? I always write it in MS word and then check it with the site they give for checking the word count. If they are more or less the same, then I assume it is fine. Saying that, that seems a little strange that the same website will give different result on different days.

I just used the site they listed, assuming it would be the one THEY would use to check the word count also. I know for some reason different programs will give a different count sometimes.
