I can NEVER get referrals to mylot or anything else

I still cant figure how people get these banners all over their sites. I never get referrals to anything. i've tried putting up links, banners everything. the links sometimes work, i think? but the banners ive never figured out.
sometimes i feel so stupid...since everyone else i know on here can make banners etc. how do you all do that? theres a really great new site id like to get referrals on but, cant manage to get any except through sending links through pm. i go to people profile here and see banners all over it. 
btw, my friend on here has already gotten paid from this other new site. so, if you want, pm me. and on mylot, please tell me how you get these?

If you need help getting referrals in general. I have a 5 part series on my blog "how to get referrals". It should open your eyes to at least a few things, and put you in the right direction to get some active ones for yourself.
As for banners and Mylot profile. It's simple HTML code, mostly copy/paste.
If you personally need to make one, mybannermaker.com
(example on profile,all the way down, right hand side)

Me neither. I have 2 referrals to swagbucks but it doesn't look like they are even active. *sigh* why bother KWIM? gets really annoying to see them on there but not active.
I too have heard of the traffic exchanges but I don't know anything about them nor do I want to pay for that either.

surprisingly, i to have gotten 2 referrals here. they are not on my friends list
they wont come back and post, they dont do any activity, they are just there!

I have never been able to either. Oh, I can get some for a time but they don't last. I think people realize they could be making the full amount themselves, they helped their friend out, and they are gone. Sadly it is a nice thing this site and some others afford us but they don't last.

well in general it is really hard to get referrals in general. But the easiest one to refer are your friends and family.

no it doesnt belong to me. i was just trying to put my mylot banner there and couldnt seem to manage it. no, i was thinking of quiting here because they deleted a discussion i had bragging about how great mylot was. why i dont know. looks like they'd appreciate the kudos. right?

What do you mean by bragging? Starting a discussion here talking how great it is or did you get your account deleted because of something outside mylot? Anyway i get my refs from manual traffic exchange easyhits4u i'll give you 100 free credits if you sign under me and another 100 if you surf at least 100 sites. Is sidetick really your site?

I can't get them either lol and I have a Earning Blog running which has all the Sites on that have paid me I am also on Twitter and still nothing 
But I have been paid by the Site today that we are both on and it is great that they do pay as it is a good Site

yes, thats usually what happens with me but surprisingly i got one today of the other place we are on together first time its worked out. and yes i got paid from there a couple weeks ago.

Are you talking about the pictures that people put up on their home mylot page? If you are, then I know what you mean! I don't understand how it's done either and I've tried a number of times to figure it out to no avail so you're not alone. I just gave up a long time ago and accepted it to be what it is. BLANK.

I can't get referrals, either. I had one here but he never posts, he's too busy with other aspects of his life. People aren't impressed with making pennies, either, they want something that pays big like a regular job. I'm glad you brought this up because I'll follow the replies and maybe learn something eventually!

I know I wasn't impressed with making pennies here at first. But then I realize I stick my nose in numerous forums even "own" a couple and they don't pay me to post. MyLot does pay me to post so I spend more time here than those sites for sure. Plus, there are plenty of awsome folks on MyLot to discuss tions with ;0)

yes, i think thats what is hard to get across to people. they dont realise they spend hours at other sites and make nothing for it. here at least you can enjoy hours of discussion and have a lovely home page, friends that actually talk/type to you, etc. thats hard to explain i guess.

To be honest with you, I have been here in a year already and have not earned any referral yet. I think that it is just fine because there are still other ways to earn here like being active in starting discussions and responding to discussion. It may take a while before you could really get a few cents here. But I guess you have to think that you are contributing something that is worth reading and you are earning as well from other people's post.

I used to be active in trying my best to get referrals, but i grew tired of it. Even though i got my own video, it seems that friendster,facebook and other social networking sites continues to dominate the larger crowd and only a few are really getting into this online money making thingy. i used to have banners but i just changed it just mylot video and my music, i lost hope in getting others to join mylot.@bunnybon7 (50973)

Hi friends, I recently signed up mylot about two weeks ago and now have got two referrals. I made a blog and I explain about the opportunity to make money on mylot. In that blog I gave an example of income that would be obtained if we follow the course in mylot. Then I search for friends in social networking sites and I have to talk to. Finally he told me to visit my blog and learn it. Among some of my friends turned out there who are interested to join in mylot,and maybe you can follow the steps I have done.

Don't you feel stupid, because you don't know. It took me some time to get the hang of it. Now I know how to put them on, but I don't think I can explain it very well. I hope someone will see your questions and answers, because some people are good, step by step. But the poster doesn't necessarily mean that you will get referrals. I really believe that those who get the most referral usually have a blog or other websites, they drive, talking about their support program, and then they share these blog site links, because they can as many places of interest.

Well, then all those other site you joined must be really popular that alot of people have signed up already, and i have also encounter this kind of problems too, but you can try to ask friends or relatives that dont know about these kind of stuff and persuade them to join?

You do not have feel stupid because you don't know. It took me a while to get the hang of it. I now know how to put them on but I don't think I would be very good at explaining it. I hope someone will see your question and respond because some of these people are very good at giving step by step directions. But putting up the banners does not always mean you'll get referrals either. I truly believe that people who get the most referrals usually have a blog or some other website that they promote, which talks about the programs they support, then they share the links to these blogs in as many places as they can to gain exposure.

Well I'm just like you, I never get any referrals. i have one banner on my profile, and I already forgot how I was able to put it there. LOL. I have tried getting referrals, but no matter how I try, I can't seem to get any active ones. It sucks, especially when you read somewhere that they are earning much because of having a referral. It is a great opportunity to earn, but I just don't get how.

hmmm getting referrals isnt that easy. that if u happen u get one,and didn't turn out to be active, its is just as much as nothing. I have tried telling my personal friends about mylot, they seem to be interested but on the other hand, doubtful as well that this is just a sort of a net scam so, what i have in mind right now is ill wait till my first cash out and them show it to them so i would have a proof since it is proof coming from me that they are waiting for.

good idea. my problem is that my family and friends all have excuses. some say they dont have time, some say they dont think they can do it, and some even say they dont care to join another social site and yet they will spend hours on stupid FB or myspace, just wasting their time when they could have more fun and learning here.

Another way to get referrals appart from blogging, is the traffic exchange sites. I don't do this type of business, but if you're interested you may want to have a look.
