Woud You Get In to a Lion's Cage if a Trainer was There?

I was just watching Inside Edition as I was typing and this reporter was invited in to a lion's cage by a trainer, after a petting the lion for a couple of minutes then lion then started jumping on the reporter and bit him, the trainer finally got the lion off but he could have easily been killed. Would you get in to a cage with a lion if there was a trainer there? I surely would not.

I would not, but my husband probably would. Do they know why the lion turned on the reporter. Sometimes it is a very small thing that triggers and attack.

Nope. Never! 
I think the trainer was silly. Maybe I can go near a lion with the trainer but not inside the cage. That way, I would not be trapped if the lion becomes angry.

I actually have been with Tigers, Lions, and Panthers before.
I worked for a circus many, many years ago and fed them, cleaned their pens, and other things as well. They are like any other animal, once they get to know someone they are like HUGE kittens actually. This was a time in my life that I enjoyed immensely.

As someone whose favorite wild animal is the lion, no I would not. They are wild and unpredictable, something to respect, not get close to.

Well interesting question.. but I dont think I have so much courage. I simply wont risk my life for anything. After all lion is an animal and you never know.. when he can go beyond control.
so i guess its always better to stay away from taking such fatal risk.

I would never ever get inside a cage with a lion even with a trainer, its just stupid.
