OK MyLotters. Listen Up! Don't be stupid and post your personal stuff on Facebook. Here's an article featured on yahoo news this morning that y'all should read real good. http://shine.yahoo.com/event/financiallyfit/6-things-never-to-post-on-facebook-1813436/

Coffeegurl, thanks for posting. I'm a facebook user and this tells be to be more careful. At times, we just like to have a virtual photo album or diary, so we post everything at facebook...yet to realize that some real bad people would take advantage.

That applies to every social site, including myLot. So many seem not to realise that internet makes everything available for anyone to read regardless od whether they are a member of the site concerned or not. Search engines bring up everything too once it's posted somewhere online.

That is true . . . that's why I like staying as anonymous as possible!

The precaution are necessary. We should not divulge everything really!

I just read all the stuff on that link - and PHEW - I don't post any of that stuff! Well, I know not to. In that sense, I don't have any strangers on my Facebook friends list either (and I utilize all the privacy stuff so others can't see if they do a search on me) - I know 99% of the people personally - and I should hope none of them would do me wrong. I was actually able to find a find a friend's address without them ever telling me . . . through their status - that's pretty scary if a novice like me can do it.

Facebook has good security settings. Nothing I post on my Facebook is available to anyone but my designated friends. I hardly ever even use my Twitter...and then only to market my blogs and online store.
