While the focus is on the World Cup, lets take a short break and turn the attention to the British Premier League. Manchester City have just confirmed the signing of Yaya Toure. He is the second player to join the club after David Silva. The club seem bent to dominate the league. Given their financial power, they are more than capable to do so. The days of the big four is almost over. Tottenham have took over Liverpool. So who will Manchester City replace?

Man City has the money but I think it takes more than financial power to dominate the English Premier League. It takes time for a team to play well and I think that the same thing could have been said previous season when Man City finished eleventh.

I f City get off to a good start then they'll have a good chance of winning the league. Manchester United, Chelsea or Arsenal haven't spent any real money on quality replacements. If the league is as poor as last season then I don't see why City can't win it, Chelsea are an ageing side, United have a poor midfield, it's City's for the taking and I'm sure they'll be some more big signings on the way.

Given their financial power, it is hardly surprising. I think Robinho will go out for them this season. With Yaya, David Silva, Kolo et. all, they are definitely going to be in contention for the top 4 spots. I think Mancini is a good coach and will take them forward. But if he fails a top 4 finish this year, he is going out for sure. Cheers! Ram

It does not seem right that someone can take over a club and attempt to buy the league but i suppose that is what happened at Chelsea. I am not sure that we do have a big four anymore, probably a big five or six. Liverpool are up for sale and may be taken over by someone equally as rich as the manchester city owners.
