It's some kind of vine growing on a neighbor's fence and spilling over onto our side, but I don't know what it is.

It looks like some sort of Hibiscus to me. If not, it is in the family.

I think I found a picture of it. It is a hibiscus, the official name is Hibiscus Syriacus. I do not have enough posts yet to be able to place a link here, but if you go to the search tool it may take you to some pictures.

ops, sorry. I just looked up the Hibiscus Syriacus and it is a rose of sharon which is a bush, not a vine. Darn. The flower looks very much like it though.

I agree that it does look like a Hibiscus. The way it grows and hangs over the fence, though, indicates a vine rather than a bush; also, the stem is not woody.

unknown flower - This too grows on a creeper but I have yet to identify it.
It looks like it belongs to the ipomoea category but ipomoea do not have stamens although the leaves are similar and both grow on vines.Eh! on second thoughts why don't you ask your neighbour unless you are not on talking terms! I too have to identify a flower in my own garden. This also grows on creepers twice in a year and when it is in bloom it puts to shame all other flowers in my garden.
