with fire! yeah, as i was taking my breakfast this morning, i saw my neighbors clearing up the remains of their burned house... and it sadden me and brings back the memory of hat happen last Saturday morning. its just a one fine Saturday and everything seems to be normal, when an unexpected thing happens, something that i will never forget & don't want to ever happen again... i am doing some cleaning in the house when my husband's secretary inform me that there's a fire going in the houses near us. it makes me worried and nervous. at first hat i saw is just a small smoke and so i thought that its just nothing, but when i look again, the smoke is getting thicker and fire is starting to spread... with trembling hands, i as still able to contact the fire station, and thanks God that aside from me there's also some other concern people who have called them already... we feel that its taking a bit long before the firemen arrive and so we try to contact again but too bad, telephone line is already gone... everything happens so sudden and i feel like its been so long since the fire started when in fact its just a matter of minutes... i don't know what to do, i mean in my mind i know that i have to do this and that but i just can't do anything. huh! (so ashamed of myself) its the first time that i am in such kind of situation and i must admit that i am a bit panicked and shocked on what's happening specially when i saw that the tree near our house is already flaming with fire and just a little bit more or just one blow of a wind and our house will be on fire also...what i just remember is me just looking at it and looking at the people who's bringing our things out of our house... i don't know what i feel but i know my stomach is aching and i feel weak on my knees...but thanks God that before the fire reaches our house, the fire was already declared under control. thanks for those kind people who help us wetting the walls in our house to atleast protect it from being burned...i appreciate the kindness of those people that even if i don't know them, they are still there helping us... and i just feel better when i saw my husband already there...(he's not home when everything happens) in the end, there are 4 houses totally burned including one that is on the very back of our house, and they say that our house was really the next in line if the firemen didn't arrive right away. thanks for their quick response. but its still traumatic to the point that i am kinda hesitant to go back in our house after the fire since i am still seeing the tree smoking...i feel like it will be on fire again any moment, and when i close my eyes to sleep, what i am seeing is the big fire which almost eat our house. and another sad thing is that one of the victim is a friend of ours and there's a newly wed couple living in that house (they just get married less than a month) and all of their things are there, and they save nothing except the clothes that they are wearing...(incident happens when they are not home and its only their mom who's there) its just a consolation that few hours after the fire, the mayor arrived saying that he will send materials to rebuild the houses and of course some help are also flowing. and with me, again thanks God that nothing happens, and we are already safe. just that we don't have electricity now since the meters as burned as well. we are just connected now to another neighbor. how about you, do you have any experience like this? that you are up close and personal in something like this? like tragedies and calamities? this is one scary experience that i will never forget...

WOW such a long post!! hehe ^_^ Just kidding!! BAck to u!! So glad to hear and know that u are safe from that fire!! It could have easily burned down your house for it's just next in line!! U should really be thanking god for blessing u well huh!! Much as i pity those whom has got their house burned, but at least they managed to keep their life.. And to think that your neighbours has got quick thinking of wetting the walls in your house, so that it wont be burned easily.. GOOD for u and them!! I think it must have been a horror to see all those happening right in front of your eyes, and though it's only minutes, but it seems like taking forever for the fire to be put out right?? Hopefully, mommy is feeling better now, and not let the 'fire' scared.. With u, being a good person, god will definitely be blessing u and your family ^_^

yeah, i didn't notice that its this long already...atleast you still respond, i just notice that you keep on complaining with my long posts but with your kitten you don't? me too, i am glad that we are safe as well as the area where we live...not only our house but most specially the church near us. that's the most important, we are all alive and no one was hurt, but i feel like i will die of heart attack living here after all those that i have experienced, i am thinking what's next? actually its the secretary's husband who really think of that wetting the walls and he's the first to help us, before the adopted kids came. and the other neighbors just help in carrying our belongings. its good that they have a quick mind and stay calm even if the fire is already closer and smokes are already filling up the house. very true, its a nightmare! and nothing more i can do but watch... i am feeling better now, and yeah thanks God for everything. to God be the glory. hope you won't complain again with this long post.

Hi Ck! It runs down chill in my spine to think about the 'fire', that engulfed your neighborhood and was getting dangerous for your house too. It made me tense, just thinking about the scene. Facing fire could be devastating and it leaves a very bitter impression on our mind. Once my water heater rod caught fire and destroyed many things, including our washing machine, we just cannot forget that ugly incident. I do hope that you would have recovered from the trauma of the fire incident and would be recovering back to normal.

FIREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the most dangerous yield in the neighborhood where everyone should not be taken for granted. You can refuse to react from anything that needs attention in your neighborhood but never on this shout..(FIREEEEEEEEEEE) not unless everything in your house are fireproof. Some said it would be better to be robbed that from being ablaze. A robber could not carry all your belongings in a minute of two but in fire, you could not hardly imagine the ruin in just a minute or two. Eloemi, I was there when it happened and that was also my first time in my life to had a close encounter with "Mr. Fire" I pity those victims especially to one of our brethren. She run with nothing except only what she wore during the incident. Thanks God the fire gutted only four houses though the area is densely populated and the fire was never meant to "us". Hope that would be our first and last experience with "Mr. Fire". Relax Eloime..stay calm..

hello daddy! actually, i don't hear anyone who shouts FIREEEEEEEEEEEEEE! really no one shouts from the house that's burning...we just saw it from our house, you know we have a perfect view from here. right now, i am more cautious...hehe i am always looking outside, checking the environment and i am kinda allergic seeing smokes from the neighbor and also allergic seeing a lighted candle in there. its such a big hassle and disturbance in everything like you know that we are badly affected as well. that's true daddy...and too bad, i was able to experience both here. haha we are being robbed before(just thankful that the things were returned as well but it also frightens me a lot specially thinking tha consequences of what happen), and now we are almost set to fire! waaaaaaaaaaaaaah! what's next? a landslide? huh! God forbids. yes, i also pity her but i admire her as well for being such a fighter. and its just good for them that her kids are all established already and will be able to help. but still its sad, to think that they are just gone through many expenses in the last days and that they just finish renovating the house a day before the fire. we are all should be thankful that our 'house' is safe. God is really there protecting his home.

Hi CK, Thanks to Mylot that you have a venue to ventilate your feeling when that incident happened. i hope you feel better now and is not haunted by what happened last Saturday. I had the same experience in the province when I was only 10 years old. Our neighbor’s house got burned due to a gas lamp that fell while they were sleeping. Nothing was left except the clothes that they’re wearing. But nobody was hurt among the family. It took them months to recover and rebuild their house. Another one was the fire that happened in Quezon City Manor Hotel. It’s just a block away from our apartment. The big fire hit the hotel midnight and there was a convention during that time. I personally saw those people asking for help but can’t go down and out of from the highest floor of the hotel. I saw how little by little they are being eaten by the fire until no more voices were heard. There were those who were saved by the firemen but it was so full of smoke then that made it hard for them to rescue people inside the hotel.

hi winks, yeah, thanks to mylot, and to my friends here for listening to my story. and just reading your responses, actually just seeing your names makes me smile. i am better now, feeling well but just kinda allergic in seeing smokes and lighted candles. huh! your experience or what you witness is even worst than mine, since you see people being killed in that fire incident...i can't explain the feeling seeing such kind of happenings, you want to help but just can't do anything. how tragic... we are just thankful that no life is taken away in last Saturday's incident and only 4 houses were burned even if the area is really kinda populated and houses are very near with each other... yeah the smoke is another thing that adds danger when there's fire coz it might cause suffocation, that's also why people told me not to go back to our house and just let the guys get our belongings... haiz!
