Can we live longer by avoiding negative feelings?

Hi friends, does negative feeling like worry, sadness, angry, disappointment etc. reduce our life span? Can we live at least for 200 years if we never got irritated in our life? Of course a healthy diet may also play an important role.

I believe that If we always have a good mood every day , we can have a long life . So do not get irritated so easily , which would hurt your feeling and body . Therefore have a good feeling every day , can keep a doctor away . that is my view .

Yes I definitely think that we can live longer by avoiding negative bad feelings but it is not so easy for everyone to do that. Most people cannot control their sadness, anger and so on. Because if we could avoid and control those feeling, would anybody want to be sad, huh? I think that positive thinking can help us live longer. I have watched a show on discovery channel that said a woman cured from the cancer only with her positive thinking and a man lived longer because was really calm. But some people are just like that, they don't feel anger or sadness in different situations. That is why they live longer maybe

i think it certainly could add years to someones life but 200 years isn't a reality. maybe when breakthroughs in medical advancements such as stem cell therapy start to happen in 2 decades or more then 200 years could become a possibility.

well live longer of course but with exercise and strict diet i think we can even for to 100+ but i think to 200 is almost an imposibility without the help of science.

It can help a lot but it is not enough. Other factors should be taken in consideration like the nutrients you're giving your body and what kind of activities or exercise you're having everyday.

I think that our negative emotions have a great contribution with how long we will live but even if we don't entertain these emotions there are still a lot of things to consider in order for us to live a long life. Our environment and the food we take are other things to consider. Our genes are also responsible for how long our life will be.

we can definitely prolong life when we avoid stress but not to the extent of 200 years..
