A few years ago, my family and I visited Asheboro Zoo in Asheboro, NC. It was very nice... complete with all of the wild animals you could think of... down to a timon and a pumbaa lol! There were huge polar bears, all types of birds, giraffes, elephants, hyenas, EVERYTHING!! I had so much fun and I plan to take my daughter when she's old enough. It tends to be hot in places like that and I want it to be a safe environment for her and definitely a learning experience. I go to aquariums more often than I do, zoos. How often do you go to the zoo?? What was your favorite zoo that you ever visited??

yes zoos are nice in general and even the wild animals are really charming!!I remmeber that many years ago i went to a particular kind of zoo where you can come inside the park with your car and in reality all animals were free..so they can even come near to the car...it was nice..beh ok it was not really nice if you will come out from your car during the lion zone..you know..

That sounds really cool!! Zoos are kind of expensive to get into now.. it's sad really. I am going to try and take my daughter this upcoming year. Thanks for commenting!!

It has been a long time since i have been to the zoo. Toledo, Ohio has a nice one. I have not been to an aquarium, except for the one at the zoo.

Hmmm that sounds interesting. I wish we had a local zoo here where I live. I have to travel about 45 min to get to the closest one. Thanks for commenting!!

I never went to an aquarium. It scares the hell out of me when I see it on commercial. Anyway, I don't occasionally go to zoos, but when I do, I go to the Boncx Zoo. Even though the animals are treated a little harshly, it is the most realistic zoo I've ever gone too. IT has real environmental exhibits, and it is just awesome. It is one of the best zoos I've ever gone too.

Aquariums creep me out a lil bit too because I'm terrified of fish, so I don't get too close to the glass. Also, I never participate in the petting area of the aquarium either. I once went through this area of the aquarium where it was completely surrounded by water and it was just a conveyor belt area pulling you through the walls and ceiling of water. Furthermore, if you wanted to, you could step off on the sides and get a closer look of the fish, sea turtles and sharks. That aquarium is the Ripley's Believe it or Not Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, SC. Where is the Boncx Zoo located?? Thanks for your comment!!
