I absolutely love to cook and totally love when I see my family enjoy every finger licking moment. I love it so much I began to write my recipes to some of my sites so I could also get paid for them. I was a single parent and it was a general rule that we ate as a family. It was a time that we bonded so well as we were all enjoying the scrumptious meals together no matter how simple they were. It was like an event daily. Although I am fairly young, as I started parenting at a young age, I can tell you that I have a wonderful relationship with my two grown children. When I tell you they totally look forward to coming over to eat. That they do. They by the way are my biggest fans when it comes to my written recipes, and in fact my son has printed many and is starting to experiment as he knows that men must be self sufficient. Guess the meal bonding together did some good.

Hi ann, sounds like you had a wonderful day. I am looking forward to March mext year when my step daughter will introduce my wife and I to her new daughter (also I will meet her husband for the first time) in Chiang Mai. We are having a get together, and it will be fun. However, my wife will be doing the cooking. Why have a dog and bark too? Just a joke, she is the best cook/chef I know. Mike.

dear mike, i remember you making a discussion about your wife going home to thailand and that you had to stay in australia for some work to be able to get a "pension" or something? (that i forgot). time flies so fast.. one year is nearly over and you are now very eagerly awaiting the reunion and the food cooking and the tasting... wife surely has to have that skill all the time. i believe in the saying that a "woman's way to a man's heart is through his stomach". cheers, ann

It's just my Hubby and I so we don't really do the whole big family thing and I used to love cooking but now that I'm on a restricted eating plan, it seems more of a chore then a pleasure. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

dear twoey, i agree that it is more economical to buy if only two are in the family, though i wonder why you are on a restricted diet. have a nice day. ann

Hi tigeraunt! Same here, I love cooking.. But as long as all the ingredients are there to start with. Just in case, I lack some ingredients, I try to improvise. Anyway, way back when I was still taking care of my grandmother, that when I really learned how to cook with her help. She's got so many recipes, unfortunately I wasn't able to document them all in a recipe journal. Aside from what she taught me, I tried to experiment and find delicious recipes from the internet to try. Because I really had to have different viands around at meal times since she's a granny, she easily gets fed up with common dishes. So I really had to be creative. Now, I'm living back with my family, I make it a point I help around especially in the cooking area. In our family, it is my brother who cooks the best. He easily can 'fix' a dish if it doesn't taste good. After what he does, voila! It's already edible.. hehehe.. I do think my family loves my cooking. In part because I integrate what everybody wants. For example, like for my mom. She wants her vegetables a little overcooked so that she can chew them properly. Of course others just want it half cooked. So when I cook, you have you own serving, just made for you. That is how I am when cooking. Share more!

I do not work, so I do every day to cook for my family. I love to cook, sometimes I too lazy to cook. No one to help me cook, I cook myself, I only cook for my husband and children only.

Hi there. I too love to cook and I am a good part time cook. I cook food whenever I find time but my friends never appreciate mine since I am a vegetarian and I just cook veg food wheras my friends are ardent Non veg lovers and that cause a good fight and funny arguments amongst us.

dear vins, am sure you are a good cook but since you only cook vegies, you will have less experimenting to do with a viand. but nevertheless, am sure you have lots of ideas now on how to make a tasty meal with very simple ingredients. keep on cooking. ann

Hi,Ann.;-) As a fulltime Mum and housewife, that's my role. To cook and feed everybody in the house. My husband is the only adult companion I have, plus my two daughters Santi Marie and Sam, age 3 years old and 4 months old respectively. So, I don't get much help since my hubby isn't participating much in doing just anything in the house. But, I do love to cook.I love experimenting food and discovering new dishes. If I can have my way, i'd spend the whole day cooking and whipping up dishes rather than doing other household chores, But, heck, I don't have that privilege.;-)

i only lived with my live in partner so we do not cook as often, because i think it is more practical to buy cooked meals than to cook because you will have to buy all the ingredients like onions, oil, garlic, etc.

hello pogi, cooking for many is good and can be less expensive. but for two, as per my experience, it is more kinder to the pocket to buy already cooked viands. but still you get more satisfied with homemade cooking. have a nice day. ann

I love to cook too and its suppose to be an advantage because its Sunday alright and I always make something nice for me and my husband but today. I am not doing that. I already had a plan to roast some beef and make some mashed potato but I am not going to do it after my husband did something that made me upset. I think we'll just go to my mother in law's house and eat dinner there.

Yes I too love cooking and do seem to do more on a Sunday, today I have mad a traditional roast chicken lunch with all the trimmings, a gooseberry crumble and custard for dessert, I have made a ham and asparagus quiche for tea and also a banana, sultana and pecan nut cake. The house now smells really lovely and I am very tempted to go and have a slice of the cake with a cup of coffee!! The cooking today I have done on my own but my 14 year old son usually loves to help, he is a very good cook himself now, today though he is out playing cricket for the village team!!
