Only one match remaining, some young players can continue to their dream on next World Cup. However, for some old player, it may be the last chance. Such as Kaka of Brazil, Fabio Cannavaro of Italy,Gianluca Zambrotta of Italy,Andrea Pirlo of Italy,David Beckham of England, Didier Drogba of Cote d'Ivoire,Thierry Henry of France etc. It is a little say for them and fans. I want to say you really never leave. We can remember the beautiful moments which you show for us.

I think the entire Italian and French squad will retire. I think most of the English squad will not return for the next world cup. Dutch captain Van Bronkhorst has already stepped down from international football. The Aussie squad was another aging squad which will have many players retiring soon.
So I guess there is a huge amount of players who will retire after this world cup!!
Cheers!

From newspaper, carragher has decided to quit England team.
We cant see him in Euro 2010.
But I think that James is 40 years old,and he is the best player in this England team, then Gerrard and Lampard are younger than him.Thers is no excuse they will have good behave in Euro 2010.
So I think that age is not the most important element for players,if they keep good status ,National Team will open door to welcome them all the time.

Yes i do think that it will be the last world cup for quite a few players. It will be for the Holland captain, not sure of his name, so it would be a fitting end to his world cup career if he lifted the trophy tonight.
I also think that some England players will not play in the world cup again. Beckham for definate. I do not think that Heskey will play again, thankfully, and it may also be the last world cup for Lampard, Carragher and possibly a few others.

Indeed, for some of the players, this is their last appearance on the world cup. They have entertained some of us for many years and these world cup will be their last in the grandest stage. Good luck to them and hopefully, we will see some of them again in the World Cup as coach.
