I stumbled upon this on one siggy in a forum and I laughed when I read it. WEll, it was originally in a local dialect so I just translated it. And in the original context, it says: "Well that's a good son-in-law, he only sweats when he eats!" It's a coincidence on one of my topics days ago about unemployed people in my place. Well there are some family-men that are like them too that doesn't want to work at all but spend their time drinking. Well, have you seen or know some family-men who are really irresponsible to their family? That they let their wives do all the work and spend their own time doing nothing? I know there are unemployed men of mylot, but I think they are still responsible.

Yeah!!! My father's elder brother. He was a drunkard, started drinking in the morning around 9 am. and drank right up to 2 am in the night. :) Never did a single honest day's work, but our law allowed him to have four children!!! And then my father's brother in law. He gambled away his property, his brothers property, my mother's property, my father's property, and still his wife was dutiful enough to breed him six children of whom luckily only 4 survived. This man used to disappear for months together - and when he used to return, his wife (my father's elder sister) would be ready for him to make a baby. LOL. Seriously I think it was terribly irresponsible on her part to be doing that. She lost one of her children to diptheria, and one of her son had tuberculosis, and her daughter didnt have enough to eat so eventually she got ulcers! Was it necessary then to bring in another mouth to feed? Surely, she knew what made that baby, and surely she knew that all she had to do was avoid! Some women pass off so much under the garb of "duty". Duty towards husband yes, duty towards child no. And I also believe that those who do good to world are often irresponsible at home. Like Santa Claus. It is their ego that makes them do that. Problem is one sincere good doer starts doing good, and 4 bad doers (cheaters, pedophiles, rapists, terrorists, etc. ) join the gang! So it is better to avoid doing good for doing good to the world!

I think their wives were no martyrs. Both were equally lazy! Neither my father's sister, nor his sister in law ever worked a single day in their lives except looking after their children, of course! Both of them were great gossipers, carry tales kind of women because it earned them sympathy and some monetary help to tide over their financial problems! And they did everything they could to lay hands on others monies, including kidnapping another woman's child to fleece monies from his father. What financial problems and desires can make people do!

Lol, those are big no-no fathers, if they could not feed those mouths then he should have cut his weenie and haven't brought those poor children in this world. Pity for those who have passed away because of their father's irresponsibility. Well, his wife was surely a martyr that she still welcomed that man in the house despite him abandoning the family for some days.

Yep, me too. I despise irresponsible parents, even those that let others care for their children while they are out there gambling or drinking. It's okay if they were out looking for money or working. but if it's the other way around then it is really disgusting to see.

hi basqui my son was not like that at all ever, he just got a job after having been without work for one and a half years. but he was always a good man and still is, he neither smokes or drinks. God love him. I have known men like that and felt so sorry for their wives too as they ended up having to make the living for the family. I think most of the unemployed men on mylot are just doing their best as did my own'son. He has a job now and we are both so happy about that.lol

I am ok with lazy, I am not ok with other type!!! I mean the do gooders who are pedophiles in reality! At times people dont get a job and at times the job they get may not be in their line and if they do take it up they are doomed forever. The dilemma is killing but there are people who through it!
