There are so many shampoo products right now. But it seems so inadequate. Shampoo ads are only showing girls with long smooth hair. And girls with curly hair are a rare sight in a shampoo ad. If these girls (with curly hair) are ever shown, it's the "before" photo, and the "after" would be the same girl with an incredibly straight hair. That's an ad for a hair treatment, of course. But my dear friends, I need a shampoo that will nourish my poor big curls. Is there a shampoo out there specially made for our curls? Please help.

You could try Kenra, Keracare (my current fav), or even the Suave shampoos are lovely. Just dilute the shampoo and don't shampoo every day (it'll dry your out your curls). On those days you don't shampoo, just rinse and condition, or you could go completely shampoo-less. Curls tend to be drier than straight hair, so just look for the gentlest, most conditioning formulas you can find. You could even try a homemade recipe, which are pretty easy to find online. Blessed Be

Hi, milfea. There is a shampoo that I use on my hair and my daughter's hair. I have naturally curly and wavy hair. So does my youngest daughter too. I use Johnson and Johnson shampoo for curly hair on our hair. It is in a bottle and the shampoo is green. It leaves our hair looking clean, shiny and healthy. You should try this brand. It is formulated for curly hair. They even have the one for straight hair too. This shampoo helps retains your curls. You can purchase this shampoo from your local Walmart.
