Hello there, I think this is the first time i have actually made a discussion on this interest. never thought this interest exist, maybe i should be have been exploring a bit more I can't help but think when ever i get into this situation that makes me miserable or at least me not so proud to be myself or being the nationality that i have. or some times, with all the problems in the country, I wonder, why did i born as a Filipino? why here? these are the thoughts that comes out of mind during depression time. So, from then i would sometimes or even rare to think of myself different, and still left wondering, could i been better if i wasn't a Filipino. or could have been a lot worse? just something to share. i hope you share yours too. but don't worry am proud, it's just that sometimes hearing problems, makes you regret being part of this country, where others progressed, we are left behind.

No matter what happen to us, we have to be proud to be a Filipino. there are no perfect country, for sure some of the country have their own share of good and bad news. In anyways, we learn from that news. You are just dismay of what happened on the recent election. My friend, you have to move on from that. Maybe this time if we will unite and contribute for our country to be good, then their will be a chance for our country to share a good news. As we live in everyday of our life, we have to have faith that there will be a sunrise over a big storm. Me, I don't ever think of changing my nationality. Being a Filipino have a purpose. Maybe if you are not a Filipino you are not so smart to give us enricheable and valuable discussion....

Hello grecy, Maybe i wouldn't be in mylot in the first place, instead am on other things. maybe in mylot but not that way i express myself to you guys. maybe am thinking of this because i wanted to get out of the situation whereas i am having a problem, i would wish to get out, but probably end up with another problem.

I agree with the very first person's response, it's very true and articulate. We are who we are - and while our nationality's culture and history plays a big role in our lives, it doesn't necessarily mean that we should be defined by that. I am American, and I don't mind it - only because I look at myself as an individual and not as "an American" (especially not a TYPICAL american - what an insult). But I wonder about the same kinds of things, but I wonder about if I were born into a rich, or wealthy family, what would I be like? Do you ever wonder about that? I feel like it's a similar thought. Do you ever think that you'd be an entirely different person if you had all the money in the world? Does our nationality, and our individual situations, define who we are? Great question. My head hurts now. LOL.

hello maeze, well, at least you born in a country where they are mostly dominate the entire world when it comes to business, military, showbiz and others. most people are dying to get to the western countries, so you wouldn't really questioned that. probably if the country were to is poor but it ain't...yet.

I think every race have their own pros and cons.even some Americans wish they are somebody else, because of the problems and controversies their country faces.for me,I see my citizenship as a love-hate thing.there are things I love for being a Filipino, yet there are also lots of things I don't like.if I wasn't born a Filipino,I hope I am born Brit,French,Spanish,or Italian.

Honestly, I never thought of that. I love my race and I Am never ashamed of being a Filipino. We may have been though a lot of intrigues and scandals but other races have that too. We can adapt to different situations and we can survive to any situations. I remember in a news that there is like a religious group that is similar to Rizalista. I just like what they say about our race. They said that Filipinos are made specially that it is even shown in our name. "Pilipino", "tayo ay pili and pino". I just hope that we can make our country prosperous in the near future and that we will stand with our chin up to the world showing them how honored and proud we are being Filipinos.
