We have Tibetan who have been given refugee status in our country because China has taken over the country. Do you think Tibet deserves to be given freedom or China has right to occupy. Btw, I don't know much about the history between Tibet and China.

This is a rather sensitive topic for the Chinese and the Tibetans - their history was intertwined since their days under the Mongolians. Personally I feel that all countries of the world deserve their own sovereignty and establish their own diplomatic relations with other countries. Then again, Tibet was also attacked by Britain before some pact was made later. So if China let go of Tibet, would another country show interest in Tibet. Will Tibet be truly free. At the end of the day, normal folks' lives are impacted by the decisions of the governments.

I thought so. I think Chinese are very sensitive about it. Like you said I also felt that if any people group don't want to be part of any particular government I think such group should be allowed to function independently. But I wonder why Chinese govt is not willing to grant such freedom. Chinese may say that their country will be smaller. But what does it really matter! It's rather unfortunate to see Tibetans staying as refugee outside their land.

The relationship just too complicated to given the right or wrong answer. But for the international perspective, Tibetan should be free and speak what they want. They should be able to have their own religion, and speak their own mind. They shouldn't be persecuted.

Really appreciate your view. I also have similar opinion. I think every ethnic group and every people should be given the right to self-determination. I think China is being an oppressor here.

Despite the caste system before China invaded them and killed them to liberate them I think it was their right to live as they thought best even if they had some weird customs by today's modern standards. I doubt there will ever be a time when they can live in Tibet without the oppressive communist government it is more likely that the whole world is heading towards the same kind of tyranny. I don't believe the lies that they were liberated and given better lives and educations when most of their education was nothing more than indoctrination into communist state.

I did not know that there was caste system. But I wonder if caste system was better or foreign domination was better. Possibly lives would have become better in certain way since it's been ages that they have been conquered. But it's really bad to see people living as refugees in others' land because their land has been occupied by others.
