Does anyone use "paid to search" anymore?

I am just curious how popular Mylot and other sites "paid to search' is nowadays. I found a few free plugins I could implement into my site to have the ability to provide a "get paid to search" into the site but before doing such a thing i'm curious, do people even use them anymore? I'll probably implement one either way but I might postpone it a bit if no-one really uses them at all. What's your opinion on this, think they(or you.) still use'em?

well i use mtlot search but only to search within mylot (discussions, tasks, blogs, etc). I don't use it as my web searcher, but just to navigate the site. I have gotten rewards a couple times but I am afraid that they will think I'm cheating and take away my account so I won't.

I agree. The words will remove your account without warning, and just use the search engine naturally and you should be fine. What?

I wouldn't search overly much but a few searches each day I don't see hurting your account. Afterall, it is there for a reason. Just make sure they're actual searches looking for stuff.

Well I guess I can search for a few things each day on there. I just won't do any random searches that may seem suspicious.

I used to use mysearchfunds a long time ago until it stricked away India from the countries list. Then it changed its site to something like 'homepages friends' and included India, then struck out again and included again. Finally, it stopped paying every member and now works as a charity site. Cool, huh? Well, I lost only around 1 pound. I really felt sorry for people who lost 19 pounds. -Ajith.

Yeah, that was actually some good scam. But I haven't heard any scam reports of them, that's why I joined. Thank God, I came to know about the country exemption, but you can't actually blame them- Indian IP address is not constant for a connection, so this paves way for some real scam artists. And yes, Mylot is fantabulous! Regards, AJith.

I tried MyLot searches, but I have two other places that I search. One earns me points each month, the other lets me earn "bucks" to redeem for prizes, PayPal and Amazon.

I've asked several times about them myLot search feature but I have never received a straight answer. I used it my first time and immediately received a message about suspicious behavior. Then approximately a month later I tried it again and all I get is Welcome Yahoo user and appealing me to join myLot...LOL I am already logged into to myLot so I don't get it and don't bother using it.

Maybe they are(or were) still working out kinks in it? I've tried it here and there throughout the days and haven't got any bad issues and it searched just like it was supposed to and I got some cents for it!

Yeah i'm starting to think that if you're having weird issues outside of my site that it may in fact be your ISP for whatever the reason? Ever since i've started GPT's n' such i've experienced no technical problems & i've known of them for years!!

Thanks to this discussion, I now know that I can earn by searching from the myLot search. I didn't know I could earn from there. On the topic, besides this PTS in myLot I don't know any others.

I get rewards from mylot but it sometimes says: You have been awarded 0 cents. How is that a reward when it's zero? LOL

I dunno. Maybe you received a fraction of a penny and Mylot doesn't show that!

Herro LouieWpHs04 I did a search using mylot and found a blog. This is a generic link, not an earning link. http://www.ehow.com/how_paid_search_internet Admin please do not delete this link. It is a generic link, no id. Prosperous mylotting

If a site really pays to search then people will use it. If it is just a false promise then they won't. MyLot pays and it now rewards us for using the search too therefore many of us are now using it.

Based on responses here and other places it does still seem to be worth implementing and people would use it so i'll probably throw that in my GPT site in a bit and give it a good run. See how it turns out.
