The highest profile free target of the summer ended with Joe Cole joining Liverpool. I think he will be great for Liverpool if he can remain free. But being an Arsenal fan, I felt gutted that he did not the Gunners. For a long while, it seem that Arsenal is the favorite to nab him. However, Liverpool came from nowhere and secure his signature. Good luck to Cole.

I think that it is a very good signing for Liverpool. I think that it will be good for Cole to have a change of sceenery and to move to a different area.

Yes, he has been unveiled as first high profile signing under Roy Hodgson. I think it is a good move for Liverpool especially given their small transfer kitty this year. I think he will be a nice addition to the midfield of Liverpool, though it would be interesting to see how he and Gerrard play together as both like to play just behind the striker. I think Joe Cole might play wide left while Gerrard will play one behind the striker. Cheers! Ram

He is exactly the sort of player Liverpool needed, someone who has football intelligence, an eye for a pass but also comfortable on the ball. But most importantly someone who just has a passion for playing football. Hopefully Liverpool can bring a couple more players with the same desire for playing the beautiful game and we will see Liverpool once again challenge for honours, maybe not this season but the next.

As a fan of Liverpool,Im so happy to hear so exciting news. Liverpool can't spend too munch money to buy some superstar this summer. But Joe cole,as the highest profile free target of the market this summer, can move to great club,I believe that if Cole can keep his good healthy,he will have good performance next season.
