do U pray before and/or after doing something?

i read facebook about Mezut Ozil about two weeks ago. He is a national football player for Germany. It said that Ozil Pray ( reading Al-Qur'an/holy book in Islam) before he went to the match.
He knows that he can only try and pray and leave all the result to God.
Do u do the same way just like Ozil?

hi ifa I am a Christian from the US but I do pray often before starting some new endeavor and also for my son and my friends that their lives may be good and blessed. I just pray and leave the rest up to God. I do not
'know if I pray as often at Ozil but I do pray for the important things that come along in my own life. This gives me more peace and keeps me much calmer.
pray does can make u s more calmer, those magic words just absorb in our body and make us calm.

That is a very good habit if you pray before and after you do something. I used to do that before but I dont know what's wrong with me now cause I dont do it anymore. There was time in my life that I have to follow very strict rules about praying so I did that. But I miss those rules and I miss that kind of life i had even though it was strict.

I pray almost every night before I go to sleep. I was told to do this since I was a child. I also pray before every meal that I have and I also pray when I have major events in front of me. Also I pray every time that I go to the Church. But I don't believe it is enough to pray and let everything in God's hands. Of course, I will succeed only when he wants to, but I always need to prepare myself and give all the best that I can so God can really help me. I am a protestant(reformed) and this is how I feel about this.

As proverb said that God helps those who help themselves.In every morning when I wake up from my bed and face my face,after that I used to do pray for some while.One thing we should know whenever we do prayer please do not ask help only yourself....so what we should do means please do pray in general for humans,animal,insects etc....

I pray but not the type of kneeling or closing my eyes, just whispered prayers, thank you, help me..those short ones, I used to be so religious but after gaining much knowledge I begin to question a lot of traditions and dogmas of every church I encounter..

Actually, I pray wheneer i will do something like before studying my lessons or before drinking my medicines and vitamins... I always do that.. almost everyday
