Cats on the computer monitor!

Does you cats ever have the urge to sit on your monitor and watch you do what ever your doing? I know one of my cats feels that is his place and must sit with me while I make my money online! It is fine with me and kind of enjoy him being there until he decided he wants to play with the mouse icon on the screen! Then it gets just plain annoying. I will go to click something and then splat a cat paw is in front of my face! LOL So does your cat or cats ever do things like this?

I have a flat screen, so no. But they love sitting on the printer and walking on the keyboard...

Oh well maybe I should get a flat screen then. Yeah they always seem to find it interesting to walk on the key board! Lets them make there own stuff to swat at! Not to many of em go for sitting on the printer though. But they do like to push the buttons and make paper come out.

the printer is also a flatbed scanner, perfect for kitties to sit on... Oreo likes walking on the buttons and turning it on and off!

My cat Smyles will lay on my chest when I am on my laptop. He seems to think that every thing in the house is his. He owns it my husband and I pay for it. Smyles also hogs the televison set when his soap opera Young and the Restless comes on. He has to watch his women on there and he hisses at the men. Cats are strange animals and mine acts more human.

Reminds me of the animatronic Salem off of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, or Garfield off of Garfield lol.

I moved my computer to a cat free zone. I have one that wants to be between me and the monitor so I cannot see anything. If he lays on top of it, he drools.

Sounds like a plan - if my cat starts drooling when on top of the computer monitor then I might have to move my computer also. It is funny at first but then starts to get annoying when my cat starts getting all over the monitor and keyboard!

Oh when my daughter lived here her cat would go everywhere on the desk, and she'd go all the way around the monitor and even would try to lay on the keyboard..I have many pictures of her sitting next to the monitor, but I'd have to find them..

Yup - that is exactly what my cat will do. walk all over the desk then get on top of the monitor. And most annoying of all like you said is when they get on the key board. Sometimes they mess up stuff that was really important! But no matter what they are family still!

She never did when we had the other monitor. Now we have the flat screen monitor so no kitty sitting allowed, even if she tried. No she usually sits on the chest beside us, on the chair beside us, and on the occasion we aren't paying attention to her she sits on the CPU, and the printer...

It came with the computer as we had to get a new computer last Black Friday. I'd suggest just waiting until you need to upgrade, and maybe around Black Friday or something where you could get good deals. Heck you might even be able to get a free gift card somewhere to take some off on it on top of the sale! Here I am blabbing.

Oh well see everyone is getting these flat screens! So now I want to get one! Any way... mine never tries to get on my lap at the computer but does like to occasionally push buttons on the printer! Happy Mylotting!

Yeah I should save up a portion of my online earnings for a new computer! The monitor we have right now was the one from the computer before the one we have now. The PC its self is borrowed from a family member because the city made a power surge and fried pretty much everything electronic that we owned and was plugged in. So maybe this black Friday I can get a new one!

I have 3 cats, and there is only one that does this and she is the only cat that hasn't been declawed or spayed, if that has anything to do with it? I cannot say for sure, but she sure is an attention hog!

Yeah I also have just one that likes to do this. He is not declawed but is neutered. Yeah this cat is an attention hog also that likes to be anywhere I am! From the recliner to the computer he is always with me.

well, that's part of why I don't allow the darlings in the front room, and now I'm on a laptop so no monitor to lay on...

we put up a screen door to keep them out of this room - it also acts as an "airlock" to keep them from dashing out the front door

Yeah well I could follow one of those paths. Either move the computer to a cat free zone . which is kind of hard because I do not have a cat free zone. Or I could use the lap top. But then they could just lay on the keys of the lap top. So either way I have a problem. Oh well they are still family!

Well thanks - I like my cats also! Oh well sorry you do not get to enjoy having pets in your house. I can believe that the people from my area would have pets because almost all western people like to have pets! I agree dogs are great for protection! Happy Mylotting!
